I'm here early today. We made ourselves get up at 7am so we could have time to fit everything in thes morning without running around frantically.

Welcome to Melissa, who's joined us in our Oooo's and started a great thread (http://www.oscraps.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=765) for us to get to know each other better.

DH is off out to buy his mum a flat screen monitor for Christmas and if I'm lucky I might be getting a tad more memory too :) He spent bundles last night grocery shopping - and lots of it wasn't groceries! He bought my parent's Christmas present, a DVD recorder, two whiskies, one from Japan and another from Wales, for his dad and a Green & Black's chocolate fondue thing for his mum because she likes their chocolate.

Today we're off out for Christmas lunch at our favourite restaurant in town, owned by our friend Howard. As we have decided to do roast beef this year for our own Christmas dinner, we're having the traditional turkey today. My parents will be there, along with MIL, two friends and one of the friend's mother. Afterwards I'll be able to have a quick mooch around town to see if there's anything else I need to buy

Time for me to go get ready if I'm not to be rushing around frantically...

Good morning ladies ... ;)

Jane it sounds like you have lots planned for today .. :) The Christmas season is upon us!! LOL everyone is racing from event to event ;)

Something I have been pondering as my stress level rises with each passing day towards Christmas is ... have we lost the true meaning of Christmas? I find myself worrying more and more about what to get - what needs to be done that about actually thinking about enjoying spending time with family and friends. Each event starts to feel like a burden opposed to a time of togetherness or joy.

On that note .. lol ... I'm off for a full day of dance - 9-4 today ... and I would much rather just stay at home and snuggle up under a blanket and watch TV or better yet scrap. LOL!!

Tomorrow is another dance day - the girls have a performance at the local mall from 10-2  And then HOPEFULLY we will get able to get a Christmas tree and put it up .. :)

Welll it's shower time and breakfast time so I must be off!! :)

Love ya all,
CheeryO ;)

Good Moooooring all!!!

Jane, what a busy day it sounds like....hope you have fun though!

Krista, I hope that the dance goes well, and you have time to get up your tree. LOVE LOVE LOVE the pic girl!!! You are so beautiful!!! :)

We were house viewing yesterday and found one we really like, but they are just asking too much for it. I know the market is really bad right now, but hopefully we find something soon, or they come down on the price.

We also put our tree up yesterday!! We had the best time trimming, situating, and decorating the tree! I don't want anyone to get jealous and all, but I am soooooo not stressed about the upcoming holiday season. We have company dinners, family visits, shopping and such to prepare and do, but for some reason, we are more excited and overwhelmed with anticipation than stress or panic!! For that, I am truly thankful!!! :)

I truly wish that each and every one of you find some comfort and joy in the following days. Tis the season!!!

Sending good vibes your way!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaah! I slept last night! A full night of sleep (and to have y'all running around in here trying to wake us up - goodness!). It was wonderful. I actually slept a full 8 hours - aaaaaaah... I feel good and am wondering where to start with my morning - after the morning Ooooo's that is.

Jane, have a great time toodling round town.

Krista, have fun at dance. Hope you get your tree done! My mom tends to get a little bah-humbuggy where trees are concerned now that she lives alone. Well, actually for longer than that I guess. One year we had a balloon tree - Green balloons all tied together to make the shape of a tree - totally funny!

Guess I best get to gettin' to... We've got hubby's work party tonight and he just told me yesterday that we need Dirty Santa gifts... I'll be shopping at some point...

I'm back and I'm stuffed :D It was also pretty cold here today.

We have spent a small fortune and loved every minute of it :D DH bought me some more Chanel No 5 ready for my birthday - its' been a standing purchase for my birthday since I was 16. I don't wear any other perfume and as it's on New Year's Day, I don't ask for anything other than Chanel No 5 :D

DH also bought a new battery for his Psion organiser that has been sitting in his drawer for years... and I get to use it!!! Can't work it out yet, I'm in the calendar bit and it's saying 1999

LOL!! Ladies you are all hilarious .. that's a hideous pic of me ... but oh well ... such is life.

Dance was LONG and LONG ... ;)

Peter and I went tree shopping ;) It's in the garage and my saintly husband is going to get it put up tonight with the lights on it before the girls get up in the morning so we can decorate it tomorrow afternoon - when they get home from their dancing at the Mall. ;) This makes me happy ... now for the rest of the list. LOL!! :)

Well ... I need to scrap ... I haven't "scrapped" in a couple of days ... I've done other stuff just not scrapped!! :)
