Is it just me or did 2006 go super-de-duper-ee fast?? They say time speeds up as you get older-- damn straight, if you ask me. :)

I thought it might be fun to share a few of your top memories of the year. they can be good or not so good -- as long as they made an impact of you this year.

What were some of your most memorable moments of 2006?

Here's mine:
1. Getting into digi-scrapping, my new obsession. And getting to meet all of the wonderful people here at the O. (Very good!)
2. Having some huge, intense, heart wrenching, soul searching conversations with my best friend. Knowing that we are truly closer than ever, and I love her to death. And she feels the same about me. (good, difficult, but good)
3. The Roller coaster of my marriage. Lots of bumps and dips, but still going strong. (good and bad)
4. The Iraq War, the senselessness of the deaths of both Iraqis and our soldiers. And no end in sight. (Bad)
5. The Dems taking over the Congress. (I'll leave that up to you to decide if that was good or bad LOL)

goood morning everyone!

I just woke up so I'll just a list a few personal impacts...

1. Alyx started 1st grade! (awesome!!!)
2. Alyx broke his arm! (horrible but how he handle it awesome)
3. Started Oscraps! (awesome!)
4. Becoming more "me" everyday (incredible)

Today we are exchanging gifts with my family. I have 2 more letters to dab some paint on for our neice and I still have to wrap my brother in law's gifts (gah, did I procrastinate this one or what!!!). I'll get them done though lol.

Alyx is having a sleepover at grandma's tonight and I have no idea what DH and I will end up doing if anything :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful night and if you are going out, please be safe!!!

oh man 2006 was quite the year........ how much should I admit to?
(she said most memorable moments...)

1) well last March I took steps that totally changed my relationship with my dh (for the good) - but it was challenging

2) April - we bought DD a car

3) I started digi scrapping - last March or so

4) went to New Orleans in June - it was an AWESOME trip (and a national Library convention)

5) bought a bunch of hardware for digiscrapping after my Shutterfly book of my New Orleans trip arrived (Hubby agreed digi is the way to go)

And probably the BEST thing is that in the past months I have spent MORE time talking with my sister than in our whole lives. And I feel so blessed to have that (mostly due to digiscrapping) -- {and I celebrate the many friends I've gained online & the Oscraps family too of course!}

And for getting Heidi to actively join the online community!! *woot* Love you girl! And I just read other's appreciation of your talents!!

(and I just realized this is the daily Oooo's lolol -- ok - our desktop has almost died... thank GOODNESS I grabbed 6 dvd's worth of files yesterday & today I nabbed some license codes ... so it's all ok. We will be taking it to the computer doctor in Fargo on Thursday. I trust them & we'll see what the prognosis is.

Good morning all!

Hope everyone has a safe time if you are going out tonight. DH is working, so dont know if he will be home tonight or not.

It was a LONG year for me, but that is probably because this year i was a full time stay home mom. I learned alot about myself and what I can overcome this year, and learned more about the person I want to become in the future. Here are a few of my highlights this year.

1. We moved to Victoria this time last year for a new start and our lives have been truly blessed for it. His job is hard and he is away ALOT, but we are now completly out of debt and stable. (FANTASTIC)

2. I started digiscrapping in March when I got a new computer and have discovered a whole new creative part of me. (GOOD)

3. My husband and I started out at ROCK bottom as far as our marriage in Jan, and with LOTS of HARD work we are getting better and better every day. (hard but worth it!)

4. I have made many wonderful friends all over the world this year and am truly thankful for all of them! (GOOD)

Have a great New Years Eve everyone! Nothing planned, but Im gonna let the boys stay up to bring in a New Year! Just this month is going to bring FANTASTIC changes to our lives for the better! My sister is due any day now with my first Nephew, and we are going to be busy packing and moving into our home. Our first HOME as a family! :D

oh, and I can't forget to mention that i have a new digi home here at Oscraps where I just love all of my digi family so very much! You bring so much joy to my life! Love you all!

Most Memorable:

1: The fact that not much has changed in the past year. No unusual changes to disrupt the normal flow of life. Sometimes that is a good thing.

2: The biggest change for me is getting to know my sister better. We have a quite an age difference so we were always at different stages of life. Now we have a common interest of digital scrapbooking.

3: Scrapbooking in general has brought together my mother-in-law, sister-in-law and I to form a friendship.

Have a Happy New Year!

Today is a good day.

This has been a good year, though it had its ups and downs.

I was part of a group of people who launched a new newspaper on Jan. 1.
So tomorrow, we're officially one year old. www.JoplinDaily.com. It's a community newspaper that is a daily net paper with a weekly print...quite opposite of most community newspapers.

I've learned how frantic my life has become, with wifi, cell phone and other technology, because of the new job. There is no "press" schedule with a 24-7 web paper....you are really never off duty and can never really unplug.

But I've also discovered how fun digi scrapping has become. I love this site and am so glad that I found it.

Scrapbooking helped introduce me to a new friend (we met through another sites chat board, and discovered we lived in the same area), --it was my first "web" blind date...tee hee...

My resolutions:
1) Make my house more of a home (a friend is helping me)
2) Get a life - Not that I don't have a life, but to figure out who I am, as a person.
3) Become healthy - I'd love to get off my blood pressure meds (yeah, the job doesn't help), a friend has lost almost 90 pounds and she's off almost all of her meds.

I have others, but these are the first ones I've made as I've been reflecting this weekend.

Have a good day.

3. My husband and I started out at ROCK bottom as far as our marriage in Jan, and with LOTS of HARD work we are getting better and better every day. (hard but worth it!)

Sounds like a bunch of us were int he same boat. It is not easy is it?

Kaylea-- you can do it, I know you can be as healthy as you can. :)

Here are mine and I think I have alot..so bare with me..LOL

1. My b/f and I split up in August; I moved out and stayed with my mother.... during that time, we talked/worked things and got back together in late October.
2. I found out I was pregnant in August....mixed emotions due to the above mentioned. Of course, I'm elated and feel blessed overall, no matter the situation.
3. My b/f had a heart attack. He recovered remarkably...VERY scary moment for everyone and not to mention SHOCKING...we're talking about Mr. Workout King here whom ate right, etc....
5. My b/f asked me to marry him in November....he's officially my fiance now! :D
6. We went to see a NFL game in Arizona (Dallas Cowboys against the Arizona Cardinals)....what an experience, I LOVED it and hope to do it again!!
7. My mom got the much needed referral to have her knee re-replaced (sounds weird...but what it is, her original knee replacement failed..the mechanism they used was faulty so they have to open it all up, clean it, etc and put a new one in)....it's going to be hard for her, BUT is what she needs and she cannot wait. FINALLY what we've all been waiting on. We're hoping this gets done BEFORE I have the baby....hehe
8. We got over 36 inches of snow the past 2 days overall and have been stuck at home since Thursday night...talk about cabin fever!!!! I should be scrapping, but get distracted by going outside making snowmen and snowdogs LOL!!!

so, let's see most memorable moments this year...
1. my sister started college! yikes!
2. jeremy and i started dating in january! :)
3. then, i moved in with him!
4. now, we have decided to build our own house together!
5. jeremy's parents have separated. :(
6. i discovered that i have horrible PMS! :( LOL!
7. i have a whole new relationship with my parents. i appreciate them in a way i never have before.

Good Morning O's! Happy New Year's Eve!!!

Wow, it's really hard to think that a whole year has already gone by. So much has happened this year to me and my family, both good and bad.

Reflecting on this past year!

It started out rocky. My Dad and I had a huge disagreement and it took 10 months to even speak to one another. But we are slowly but surely working through it and have seen each other a couple of times, and talked a lot on the telephone.

We adopted Taylor in April!!!!!!!!!! This was a long awaited event. We wanted to adopt her when she was a baby, but wasn't in the cards for the three of us until this year! This is the greatest joy we've all ever experienced. Since we've not had any of our own children, it felt like I gave birth! Haha...

We had a lot of bumpy roads this summer, we moved 4 times, but have finally settled into a house. No, we don't own, we still rent, but will be looking for our own place out in the country this spring.

My hubby is doing much better. He'll never be the same, he still is facing one more bypass surgery. He has a 100% oclusion in his left iliac artery. The blood flow to his left leg is almost nil. But there's enough to keep his leg alive. He's still on his pain medication, but has lost 60 pounds and he's no longer on diabetic medication (to prevent diabetes) and several other medications.

I started Designing in March and in August I moved to Oscraps! The best decision I ever made and I am so thankful for the "family" atmosphere here. I love all of you and can't wait to see what's in store for 2007!

There's tons more thankfuls that I could put down, and could ramble on and on, but won't today!

Hope everyone has a safe Happy New Year! We are staying home as we do every year. That is great for us, we don't go to the bars, etc. and we don't like being out on the roads when so many people are drinking and driving.

Wow!! What years you all have had!! It's wonderful to really get to know all of you so much better! We, in true Keller form, invited a bunch of people over to play games tonight. I'm not sure how many are going to show up, but probably a lot! But, I don't have to go anywhere (except the store for more food for everyone - YIKE!).

My 2006...hmmmm...Who can remember back to the beginning of this year??? It went by so fast, I'm not sure what happened when. I haven't even written my Christmas letter, yet! I guess this can get me started with that.

During this year...
* I started as full time worship leader at church (we had been rotating)
* We went up to Kansas, Colorado, and the Panhandle of Texas on our family trip this year - the highlight being visiting my dad's three sisters (priceless family time!!)
* I started digi-scrapping in May which gave me more time to be with my hubby and still scrap. and I've been in on the opening of the new OScraps which was very exciting and fun (love ya, Vicki!!!)
* I was chosen for several design teams (love that!!!) including one for my LSS where I get to teach classes and get more memories scrapped!!
* My husband and I celebrated our 15th anniversary. Marriage is a hard road to walk down, but I believe it is the most rewarding! I am more in love with my husband than I was 15 years ago (which is saying a lot, because I've always been gaga over him!!)
* my hubby turned 40 which was a perfect opportunity to bless him with a big party (we are such party people!!)
* I learned more about myself, boundaries that I need for my life, people that I need to care for more, & ways that I can live a more productive, purposeful life!!!

I am excited about 2007 and what life has to bring. I love being a part of this community of wonderful, caring people! I look forward to sharing lots more memories and stories and encouragement here at the big O!!!

Happy New Year, y'all!!

Wow Congrats everyone on such a blessed year.
It went very fast for me as well.
I truly embrace being a catholic this year and going back to read the scriptures and being more involved in the community.
I started a payit forward here in the community and actively particpating in RAK.
The best letter I ever had was back at the begining of the year when I happen to see a letter asking me if I design my papers in my lo?
And was invited to a new store that will be opening soon. Do you guy's want to guess???
I am thankful to you vicki!!!!!

I was invited to the New Digital scrapbooking project and another project coming soon teaching psp.

My dd finaly outgrow asthma :)

Great idea for the Oooo's today Chris :)

I wish you all a Happy New Year - only 1 1/2 hours to go here - and hope you all have a great 2007.

My memorable moments, in no particular order:

1. Getting my cocktail of pain relief pills finally right in February, following a year of absolute hell in the health department.

2. Stumbling over digital scrapbooking in April while looking up PSP tutorials.

3. Learning to use my digital camera.

4. Getting an even better digital camera!!

5. Being able to design five commissioned cross stitch designs this year without crying over my keyboard that I can't actually stitch anymore

y. Actually taking those pills so my pain levels are actually manageable. Yes, I know this looks obvious but I really have a problem with having to take around 18 pills a day just to feel human and sometimes I forget.. like today

8. Finding Oscraps :D

9. Getting my subscription at DigiScrapDesigner.com :D :D

10. Avoiding surgery on my right hand because they don't have thumb joints in my size!! I will make 15 years without surgery if it kills me!

11. Realising I had not died when my heart went off racing at 235 beats per minute and that even though they gave me adenosine to stop my heart I'm here to tell that tale... twice!

12. Tarmac car parks are hard when you fall on them head first!

13 Getting my husband's Christmas presents right this year and seeing him happy :D

14. Staying a year in remission from ulcerative colitis.

15. Realising that in the end the severe arthritis in my hands that meant I had to give up cross stitch has been a blessing in disguise. I have, in spite of the interruptions to my health, been my happiest and healthiest this year than I have for a long time. I have learned so many new things, I have coped with everything thrown at me and I'm still here to make my 43rd birthday tomorrow.

Happy New Year!
