There's a new blinkie doing the rounds, as you can see, and it's all about promoting our home here, Oscraps. Now, The Daily Moos was fine, but it's also the name of my personal blog, so it's good to have something that points more directly to Oscraps. So wear your blinkie with pride and promote our Oscraps :)

Today I have to brave blustery winds and some showers to go have my hair done - which reminds me!! Chris, where's that pciture of your hair??? I think I've also got enough pennies to treat myself to something :wink: Although strictly speaking, I've already done that because I've got 2 new pairs of leather boots :oops: On the never never because they don't have to be paid for until next March! I'm having a bit of bother with them though: they are flat-heeled, which is what I need and is so difficult to find these days, but they are such good quality that they hold my feet in the proper place... and I can't stand up in them!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: I am so used to my old boots leaning over to one side when I stand that I can't get the hang of these at all!
I've also got ot call the car insurance place: someone damaged our side mirror and DH took it in to see how much it would cost to repair... 157, or $300 :shock: It's because it's one of those fancy electric mirrors I suppose. Anyway, the insurance excess is only 75 so we might as well claim.
Time to go and get the facepaint on :D

I do have the picture of my hair off of the camera, but now need to find the time to resize it and upload it for all to see.
I had a nice weekend in PA. Not as restful as I had hoped but I love being with my family. The biggest goal of the weekdn was to go though all of our catalogs with the rest of the family and get started onour lists. My bro and I are doing our annual Xmas shopping day....today.... Ahhh, I am so not ready.
My kdis are 8 and 10. And my 10 yo still believes in Santa (or so he says) And I am not about to tell him otherwise. It is one of the few innocent things kids therse days have left, or so it seems.
One of my biggest projects this year is I am making a scrapbook of my father's family reunion. I decided I am going to go all out- try to find pics of where my grandparents were born in Italy, family recipes etc. I am going to some paper scrapped and some digital.
I am actually doing mostly handmade gifts this year. And any ideas for nice yet simple gifts would always be appreciated.
I am zipping off -- but have a wonderful day.

Well, I woke up to yelling and screaming (sibling rivalry), so now, I'm finishing up my coffee and trying to figure out what to do today. I have to send out my DH's 40th b-day invites (see them HERE (http://www.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1529&cat=500&ppuser=305)...), as that is creeping up on me!
I have a small toot...this past Friday I went to the first meeting of a Design Team for a scrapbook store here in town. I get to teach classes and everything! Very fun! So now I have other challenges and fun stuff to do for them!
Jane, we need boot pics! (Time to scrap!!) BTW, I did finish my Ad challenge from last week! Yea!

Krista, welcome to the MOOS! I have a long list of handmade gifts I'm doing...whether or not they get done, I dunno!! But I will be making bookmarks for stocking stuffers, mini books for my daughter's physical therapist and all of the great-grandparents, and several recipe books for my sisters. (I'm still trying to decide if I am going to do the recipe books digitally and have them hardbound...what do you all think??) I also have some ideas about quilt blocks for my aunts and maybe a small Texas quilt for my sister who is up in Washington State.
Yike...I gotta go and get started!! I'm already out of time and I have to figure out all about the Congress of Vienna (from 1812) so I can have an intelligent conversation with my kids about it!!

Connie, I'm about to have one of those weeks, too! My work goes on kind of a monthly cycle, and the middle of every month is officially PMS time for the job. And then throw in a sick baby, and yup...this is gonna be a fun one. But we're heading out to New Mexico to visit the MIL on Sunday, so that will be a break of sorts...(another story for another day).
Vicki, hope you get to feeling WOW again soon. I haven't been feeling very WOW since Mia got sick, either... Maybe when DH comes home (tomorrow night) and I have some help again...

I've already been to the dr with Mia today. She's fine--no ear infections, which I was concerned about. Just a yucky cold. And the dr just said to keep doing what I've been doing, so that was kind of reassuring. Anyways, she's fussing for some lunch, so I gotta run. Talk to you all later! :)

So far today ... hmmm let's see I've got 4 kids up and dressed - fed and 2 of them off to school ... dropped off the movies which were due back yesterday :oops: ... come home fed 2 little girls morning snacks ... chatted with Connie .. with Laura ... scrapped and posted another layout http://www.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1572&limit=recent ... cleaned up the kitchen .. made lunch for 2 girls, myself and DH!!
It's almost nap time for the girlies and then it will be Mommy time for a wee bit!! WOOT!!

SHHHHHHH Krista!! I had them all thinking I've been working really hard! But, I am getting WORK done today!! And my staff are being troopers! We are fully engaged... and they're doing double time because of the holiday. Whenever we close - people miss their library.

Well our day here is drawing to a close: it's 7.30pm and I'll be heading off to watch Spooks in a short while. My hair is fabulous :) The boots are not :( I did myself real damage today trying to stand and transfer like I need to, from wheelchair to wheelchair, and I think I've torn my right thigh muscle. You can tell it's bad because I asked DH if he could get home on time tonight I was suffering so much. So as soon as he came through the door I ripped off my clothes... and said, "Massage that thigh or I'll scream the place down!" It wouldn't be so bad, but as it's one muscle of only two that work in my leg, this is really a big problem with my general daily mobility.
You all would have laughed at me today. I went to a large department store in town to buy some lingerie. Usually it's really busy and there's a queue for the lift/elevator. So when someone got out, I rolled in, assuming that someone was bound to follow me so they could reach to press the button... But no-one did, and the doors closed... And I had to sit there until someone called the lift :lol: :lol: And of course today was one day when it was all quiet! Then my card was declined at the check-out :oops: My own fault: I'd forgotten to transfer the money this morning, but even so, I felt a right lemon!!

Happy Moo-nday girlies!
Hubby is still on swing shift, but guess what! He got up with our son and let me sleep in!! I must have been getting pretty cranky on my little bit of sleep for him to give up his, lol. Especially after I've kept him so busy all weekend. I got a wild-hair and decided to re-paint the living room, including the window-sills, and make Roman Shades to replace the yucky seventies shutters. I changed the accent color in the room from a Mesa Orange (which always ruined my indoor pics) to a milk chocolate color. It looks awesome, I really like it. And the room is a lot less drafty with the roman shades.
We bought my son a Fisher Price digital camera for his birthday, he's two. Check out his handiwork http://www.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=1574&cat=507&limit=recent. I think he's got talent!
Jane - I'm sorry your day is so crummy, I hope things get better for you tomorrow.

Genevieve - My DS is fighting a cold too. I've been doing the same thing, watching ever-so-closely for those ear infection signs. I generally stick to natural remedies and have had him loaded up on a whole list of holistic stuff, but the poor boy has been coughing so much I caved last night and gave him tylenol cold and cough. Just so he could get some rest without waking to cough all the time.
Vicki - Hope you feel better soon, let me know if I can help you out with anything so that you can rest.
Sally and Chris - Love the Recipe book Idea. I would have them printed and bound, shutterfly has a very affordable 5x7 album that would work great for recipes. I totally make Christmas presents, so keep sharing your ideas.

I got a wild-hair and decided to re-paint the living room, including the window-sills, and make Roman Shades to replace the yucky seventies shutters. I changed the accent color in the room from a Mesa Orange (which always ruined my indoor pics) to a milk chocolate color. It looks awesome, I really like it. And the room is a lot less drafty with the roman shades.

Genevieve - My DS is fighting a cold too. I've been doing the same thing, watching ever-so-closely for those ear infection signs. I generally stick to natural remedies and have had him loaded up on a whole list of holistic stuff, but the poor boy has been coughing so much I caved last night and gave him tylenol cold and cough. Just so he could get some rest without waking to cough all the time.
Vicki - Hope you feel better soon, let me know if I can help you out with anything so that you can rest.
Sally and Chris - Love the Recipe book Idea. I would have them printed and bound, shutterfly has a very affordable 5x7 album that would work great for recipes. I totally make Christmas presents, so keep sharing your ideas.

Can ya believe I let her dye my hair????? Really, it is only temp hair color-- lasts about 8 shampoos. But man oh man- this was after at least -1-2 good shampoos. You should have seen my face when she first did it and I saw how **bright** it was. Now it is down to a very light pink and you wouldn't really notice it unless you were looking for it.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I am having a blast doing LOs with old Christmas pics.
My fam just got home from our dinner out...interesting Mexican food (with obligatory margaritas!! Yipee!!)
So on that note, I better wrap this up and see if I can improve on my ongoing LOs...
