Have you all had your newsletter? Did you see Vicki mentioned our Daily Moos?? I went all warm and fuzzy when I read it :D We might only have been going a week, but I feel like an institution already!

I'm also incredibly tempted by the Zen 10 and Midsummer Night's Dream kits: I wonder if I can sneak into my PayPal account while DH is out at work??? But you see, I also love those Silent Night papers and Booberry has gorgeous colours...

I like Fridays, anticipating the weekend, DH coming home this evening with the weekly groceries. We have a ritual where he unpacks everything and shows me proudly what he's got and I fold away the carrier bags. Yes, it's sad, but there's always a treat in there of some description and I really look forward to it :) Last week it was The DaVinci Code, this week it might be something simple, like a fresh baguette to have with butter, yum yum :D

Well, it's almost 9am here and it's time to put the kettle on for a cup of tea. It's almost 3 hours since I had one!

Good moo-rning all!

Jane, your hubby sounds like a doll!! Can he come to NJ and bring me treats?
You Christmas card came out great!

Vicki- I used to do FlyLady too. I still do have some of the routines down and I try to get me and the kids to tidy in 5 minute room rescues. And yikes-- all those toys, kinda reminds me of all of the Happy Meal crap we had all over the house.

Connie- 8000 envelopes, I'd be seeing double or triple. And I have put my contacts in the wrong eyes before too. And whoa, what a feeling of vertigo. And don't forget about telling us about the digi-scrapper.

Maggie-- hugs and feel better

Anna, how is the toe?

OK Jane I want your Hubbie to come and TRAIN my hubbie, he sounds like a total sweetheart!

Thank goodness it's Friday, it really has been the LONGEST week. My toe still hurts but I guess it's getting a little better. I can't wear real Shoes and for those of you who don't know me, that is a REAL problem :D I have a pretty significant Shoe Addiction so I'm feeling a bit naked and "unfinished" now that I am down to cheap flipflops!

I have a ton of work today, a report that needs to finished by Noon.......and NO it is not even started  so I will check back later.

Have a great Friday!

Hi All!

A Baguette with butter sounds wonderful! I guess I'd better fix some breakfast and stop drooling on the keyboard, lol.

I downloaded ACDSee, so one of my main projects today is to continue organizing all of my digital files, yup I'm doing both pictures AND digi kits. Just going through pictres and deleting the doubles and the ones of the floor and the backs of people's heads has cleared up a ton of space. But... now I've got this mood to have everything organized (man it really is a sickness isn't it?) so I have to make my Deep Clean list today, so that I can work through things one at a time.

Off to start my day! :)

Good morning, all, and happy Friday! :)

Fridays are usually new-release day for me, which is fun. I get to post what I've been working on, and send out all the ads, etc. This week it was just a little brush set, but still fun. Hopefully next week it will be a new kit! We'll see what I'm able to get done this weekend (it's going to be a busy one).

So I'm really curious about this ACDSee because I've seen it talked about in just about every forum. Is it just a photo (image) organization system? Kind of like Picasa? Or can it operate with keywords? I finally got my EHD back from my hubby, and am determined to organize it and clean it off, and burn back-up discs. :) It'd be nice to organize things with key words, so I could type in the kind of element I need, and have it bring up the options available. :) Until recently, I've kind of scrapped within kits (i.e. no mixing kits), but I'm finding that mixing is fun, but unless you have a photographic memory, finding the perfect element is tricky.

Anyways...time for me to have another cup of tea, too! :) And back to work I go!

Hello everyone:
It's the little things that made the most impact.

I was very please when my dh brought my favorite soup from my fav restaurant.

I wish I can get organized and when I do i can't find anything. My main concern is to be able to back up everything on a weekly basis.

I need to be consistent on sending ads out as well.
Have a great weekend everyone.

ok - I'm here - bit bleary-eyed because I saw Jane was putting rum on her baguette! (it came from the yum).... Jane your husband is just lovely (using your terminology! - I have to practice my English - because I so want to go to London town).

I'm making a quick pass thru - this morning I came to work on time! and got busy. 4000 envelopes are printed & the mailing list is done & saved. Why am I stressing - well last year was a MAJOR snafu - omg! - someone tell Scarlett to read this. I had a student work on the mailing list & he deleted a name, but the address stayed - so they were all off by one, I didn't spot check it - and we blitzed the Post Office with ummm 4000 misaddressed pieces of mail. BIG MISTAKE so publicly known. So, to recover we went there, picked them up, reopened, printed new envelopes, restuffed... do you see the troubles all that was? It's also our membership drive & people were so sweet about giving & maintaining a sense of humor despite my obvious MAJOR screwup! So, this year - I'm praying it goes better. (I am a huge detail person - and try to do things correctly - so it was sooooo embarassing).

ah yes - Chris - I need to email this digiscrapper & meet her for lunch tomorrow if she's free. We've only pm'ed a couple of times. My only concern is safety - but it's a public place. What do ya'll think? do or don't do?

Anna - how's the report going? Want to swap work? We could try it.

Ronee - acdSee has a function that will search out your doubles. (now she tells me - you're thinking...). Organizing is addictive - I know. But it's a good kind - and keeping up is easy once you're there.

Gen - I saw your new products at DST. (didn't have time to comment - will have to get on that). Gen - check in the tutorials section of this forum about acdSee - I put a link to a longgggg thread at DST - that talks about how I use it.

Maggie - I agree about the little things.. .and then I feel bad when I forget the little things. Thanks for reminding me of that today!

I think you ladies should have someone to coordinate your weekly ads for you - then you keep creating all these yummy (not Rummy! lol) goodies!

Report is DONE and emailed YEAH ME!

If it makes you feel any better Connie I met Vicki in person and came out relatively unscathed :P Actually Vicki and I met, in a public place, and had THE best time. We chatted it up for a long time, laughed ALOT and totally plan on meeting again, as soon as we are both feeling well and our schedules permit.

Maggie I agree it IS the little things that really make us happy.......sweet of your son to bring you the soup.
As for organized, well I am sort of obsessive complulsive about things being organized BUT it works for me. If you function well in an unorganized space DON'T stress yourself out about it!

Back to work!

You're HIRED!!!

Anna - relatively unscathed! HAH! lmao! I came out SO EMBARASSED! But not because of Anna... This is my first time ever running a business and using paypal and yadda, yadda. So, I had just opened up an Oscraps bank account and gotten the card to go with it the day before meeting Anna for dinner. So, I'm all excited and say, "hey, dinner's on me cuz you're on my CT so I can write this off." Well, the card was declined! I didn't know you had to actually transfer the money from paypal to your bank account!!!! UGH! Thank goodness we were both working on our second margarita by then...

BTW Anna, I'm in some serious need of some Anna time. I've been missing you on Hello and I need some laughs! Let's get together next week! Even if its just to meet behind 7-11 again LOL.

So, I've been working on some stuff for a pdw collab this morning. Thanks so much Connie for all the CC!!! I definately need it!

I totally agree about the little things being all the difference!

**hic** Do you all want to know what my shurprise was this week? **hic** No, it washn't alcohol, honesht! **hic** He bought me a bag of mixshed nuts and raishins - I love mixshed nuts and raishins, and only have them around Chrishtmash time :D

**hic** I tried a glass of wine tonight: I've been teetotal for almosht a month, but really wanted a glassh tonight. I think it'sh gone shtraight to my head **hic**

Girls, DH wondered whether there was all for popping over to give some quick lessons when I told him how good you all think he is  I'm glad you're toe is doing better!

The organising bug must be travelling around fast: I did a little myself as my elements folder was getting a bit bogged down with stuff I'd done but not saved as png's. It's all tidy now though :D

Connie, I hope all the envelopes get to their destinations properly, without snags. Well done on getting them all printed :D So who are you meeting? I hope she's a safe sort  You need to save your pennies and come over and visit me for lunch, I guarantee you a good time!

Well done on finishing your report Anna :D I finished a gold chain, holly leaves and berries today, which was no mean feat as I had around 70 layers on the go at one stage

Connie and Vicki I was only thinking about ads myself today and mulling something over, a little germ of an idea I had. Now I've had a drink, it's a bit wine-logged, so I'll dry it out and spruce it up before I do anything with it!

It's 8.45pm here now and I'm pooped. So I think I'll have a last look around and go and read .

Night night everyone, colourful dreams :D

Jane - you SO made me smile! pass the bottle over here. I have 1500 envelopes so NOT printed. But I have nuff done so I can finish them on Mon. morning. Not, not going in this weekend. I made arrangements to meet Tracey tomorrow at my fav. rest. Should be fun, but I'm a tish nervous. She was at Maggie's chat on Monday night. She's a single mom of 2 kids. And my aunt is having a 60th b'day party. I'll go to that too!

I am sooo tired - a man came in today - no mouse skills & when he left, we had helped him get a yahoo acct, ebay acct, a paypal acct, bid on an item (For $800!) and sent questions on another - all while I fought with an overheating printer that was SO not cooperative. (I am the right person to teach shopping *woot*). I just want to keyword... it's so relaxing when I'm braindead!

remember how we set up my parents with a puter last weekend? Well I called yest. - and mom couldn't get on. I called the helpdesk - and today they replaced the box thingy inside. UGH! hardware problems they so didn't need. But my mom is on it again - bless her heart. Our fear is that they won't use it - but no one needs hardware issues from the get go.

And yes - it was very enjoyable watching Vicki scrap (I'm not sure if she appreciated my gabble - but it was fun).

Well ladies, I'm going to keyword & visit with DH - child is working.. so we have our quality time tonite. (practicing the empty nest I call it). He's working a night detail tom. night - so I have to enjoy him tonite. Child will be gone too....so I'll have some quality scrapping time - can't wait to get started with Carla's stuff! Wowsers - what great stuff!
