I don?t want photos of my child on the Internet where
anyone and everyone can see them! So I found a
company that specializes in secure free family
websites and made my own site. You?ve got to see
this: http://www.thefamilypost.com/basic/

Very cool. There are several other sites that you may post too and password protect the albums as well - snapfish, yahoo, etc.

You know, I have wondered about this.... I was thinking about blacking out eyes on my LO in the galleries, it might be a good idea, but I don't notice any one else doing this....

I asked my husband about it and he told me it creaps him out to see the black tape on the eyes etc. ( he works for social services so theres a ton of other issues there.)

So, I don't know. it is an interesting issue though....

I am glad that I am not the only one with this concern. I see everyone posting and it seems like no one has an issue with it. I have not posted for this very reason. I did post a few layouts but the kids were so far away in the pic that you couldn't identify them. I also shared some private links with a few others, which I hope they respect the privacy.

I have solved my issue by doing this: All my digital scrapbooking gallery images will be of me when I was a kid or heritage stuff. Maybe you will even get a glimpse of a young Connie every once in a while. I had planned on starting these soon anyway and why not start now. I am caught up on everything else except for one school album.

At first I was concerned about posting my daughter's pictures, but everyday we go out to the store, or to the park, and I don't worry about anything there, so why should I worry about it on the internet. I've always been very careful about not posting my last name, and I don't post layouts that could give away where I live.

I think there's some risk that something could happen to our children whether they are on the internet or not, and overall, I think the risk of something happening because of the internet is slim if you are careful about not divulging too much information.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong though, maybe there are risks I'm just not seeing.
