Hello Everyone:
Help from those of you using pscs2. I created a layers style in pscs2 I am not able to import into psp to save.
I am saving in PSCS2 it's asking me for
Baseline Standard
Baseline Optimized
Progressive
I chose standard I don't know what they mean. I hope it doesn't messup my kit.
Thanks
MAggie

What do you mean a layer style? Do you mean an image with a layer style on it? Or do you mean you are saving the actual layer style, because it doesn't ask this for that, I don't think.

Hi Vicki:
I was trying to save a page in pscs2 because I can't get the page to load in psp with the layer style.
When i click to save there were the options mentioned above wasn't sure which one to save and what progressive means or how it's going to affect the save in pscs2?

There's so many quirks in pscs2 tooo many to figure out. :)
Thanks
MAggie

Ok, so you are saving a jpg? Just use the standard.

I think she is trying to save in PSD and when you take the PSD file from CS2 to PSP none of the styles are there if you save with standard. If you had a gold frame the gold does not show only the base layer will show not the gold. Anything that is put on as a style is gone when you move to another program if the file is saved as a PSD. How do you get around this. I like to take layouts from one program to the other also. I don't like the way PS handles drop shadows and would rather do them in PSP but I can't save the file as a PSD and then take to PSP to add my final drop shadows. If you save in other formats such as a PNG or JPG the style is still there. only you no longer have layers. I hope this makes since to you PS users and maybe someone can figure out how to save a PSD file in PS so that the style is not removed when the file is opened in other programs.

OOOOOOOH! OK!!! I get it now! I don't use PSP so I didn't get that. Here's what you do....

1. create a new blank layer above your layer with the style on it.
2. Merge the new layer and the 'styled' layer (select both layers and press Ctrl + E)

That's it! (I think)
