The weather turned out great tonight, a little cold but not the howling wind from this morning...

I bought 6 huge bags of candy today and I am almost out and I am only giving 1 piece each! Seriously, I think i'm going to have to turn the lights out... who knew! I ran over to the neighbors to try to beg some candy and they are almost out too... CRAZY! I think our whole town must have come to our neighborhood this year.

Alyx is out walking with his best friend and his brother and mom. I'll try to get the pics loaded in between candy giving.

GREAT photos Vicki! tfs We didn't have any trick or treaters - but we're used to that. So I scrapped a photo my sister sent me today. (Ya'll can see how creative she is!). The Lego consists of 2 rolls of yellow duct tape & 2 cans of spray paint. Looks great though! I love the lego on the head. And the spider costume is TOO cute!! You're so creative, my dear sister! (I'll work on the photos of my child next..)

Oh Connie I love it!!! Love those costumes!

We actually had people still ringing the doorbell at 9:30! Hello, lights are OFF! the Door is CLOSED!

But, you know what Alyx did - oh my, I'm so proud - he said, "Mom, I don't want any more of my candy, you can answer the door and give it to them." What a sweetie!!!

OK my freakin doorbell just rang, (it's 9:57) I went to the door to what appeared to me to be two strapping young lads in costumes both of whom were over 6 feet tall and had deeper voices that my flippin DAD. GRRRRRR BOO HUMBUG If you are taller than me you should NOT be trick or treating!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah Vicki & Anna - at least you were able to see lots of little munchkins tonite! We watched The Lakehouse. It was a good movie - and worth watching again.

Want to hear a cute one? Remember how we wouldn't let my dd call in sick tonite to work to go trick or treating... well, she just came home from work & said 'we didn't get holiday pay today!' We said, umm no. She said - well it's on the calender. Aren't kids just the cutest?!!

OMG, Connie, I am rotf!
My dd told me I shouldn't have to go food shopping on Halloween cuz it was a holiday.

Vicki-- that is crazy! We actually had a lot of kids this year compared to the last few. We usually only go through one bag. But our last group was around 7;45, and it was our neighbors with their grandson, so we were probably their last stop. Your son is just the sweetest!

We have never gotten anyone past 8pm.

Since I am 4'11", I can't use the "taller than me" cutoff but jeez-- that seems a bit old to be out....at least they were in costume. It used to burn me up when they wouldn't even attempt something.

Awesome pictures!

Ok, I cannot figure out how to get the image to show up here....
so here is a link to the album http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/chrissi199/detail?.dir=/2b64re2&.dnm=a74ere2.jpg&.src=ph
I'll fool around more when I have some extra time. (hahahahahahaha!)

My DD is the bloody bride and my son is the ghoul on the third page.

Techno-librarian to your rescue!! Your wish to learn is my command.

Here's how you do it:
on the image - somewhere on the web: right click & choose 'Copy image location'

Then where you want the image to share the image:
click on image (button under subject line), ctrl v (to paste in image link), click on 'Close Tags'
Then preview..... to see if it worked.

One thing that was pointed out to me at DST was that you're using bandwidth from the hosting site. So, someone who's techno-savvy would have to answer that one. It's more of an opinion type of thing. Vicki will have to tell us if it bogs down her site. (She did it though- & I tend to operate under the monkey see, monkey do philosophy :P )

Hope that helps! Give me a holler if you need help.

Chris~ Those pictures are GREAT! I love how your dd is holding her mouth in scary pose for every picture! Too fun!

Connie (and everyone else)~ Go ahead and post the pics! I wanna see them.

Oscraps is its own dedicated server and we have plenty of bandwidth to play with. For the most part, I think that thread you are referring to is talking about hot linking to pictures on other peoples servers - like showing a preview of a kit in one of those "show me" threads. For the record - you are free to show off Oscraps previews that way - I consider that advertising and bandwidth well spent.

The way I do images is like Connie does and a couple of other ways...

Upload the image to photobucket or imageshak or somewhere similar, they will will give you link to paste into the forum.

or

Do what Connie said about copy image location, paste that into the forum thread, highlight it and hit the Img button.

All three ways work.
