Username and why?
LaurenReid is my username at Oscraps and DST, but on lots of other things its 3peaspress. I use to be "scrapper2twins", but my DH said I couldn't use that once our DD was born! ahhahah
Tell us a little about you and your family? married? kids? work? etc...
I'm the proud momma to 3 high-spirited children! My twin sons are 5 yrs old and my precious daughter will be 2 years on January 3rd. I'm fortunate to be married to the most wonderful man who is tolerant of my scrap world! (He even built me a scrap room, which he still gives me a hard time about because I went digi shortly after it was completed!) I have my Master's Degree in Education and in my past life (aka pre-children), I was a kindergarten teacher in Boston. Now my days are filled with my own children as well as designing.
When did you start scrapping, why and who/what do you scrap?
I have scrapped in some form most of my life. I remember having boxes of photos under my bed as a kid and funky scissors to cut them out :) But after my sons were born was when i really got addicted to paper scrapbooking, then in February 2006 I gave digi-scrapping a try after seeing layouts by Michelle Coleman and Elizzylee ....i fell in love and have never looked back! Most of the time I scrap my children, but try to sneak in a few los about my husband and myself.
What do you consider the most fun thing you have ever done?
Oh that's so hard...there are so many random fun times....but one of my most favorite times recently was this past Summer when we went on vacation with a few other people and our families (picture it....3 sets of twins, 2 babies, 1 nine year old and 6 adults....we didn't stand a chance! ahhah). At one point we went on our friends speed boat and I will never forget the look on my sons' faces.....sheer joy....we were all grinning from ear to ear as we raced through the water, the breeze tossling our hair every which way....it was a moment i will never forget! :)
Do you collect anything? If not, what would you like to collect?
Besides scrap supplies and dust bunnies?!?!? Living by the beach, we collect a lot of sea shells, but i would love to start collecting sea glass.....it is so beautiful and unique, and can be found along our beaches.
What is your favorite simple pleasure?
A long soak in the tub or just some time out alone with my husband which is very rare.
What is your favorite pair of shoes and why?
Flip flops....most of the year this is what you will find me in...my favorite pair are a hot pink pair covered in sequins! If i'm not in these, i'm either in my Adidas sneakers w/ the pink stripes or a pair of mary janes. Why these....hmmm i hate wearing shoes in general, so if i'm forced to wear them, they must be comfy and cute!
What magazines do you read?
Anything scrappy, photoshoppy, or fitness
What is your favorite quote?
"Keep your face to the sunshine and the shadows will fall behind you."
What is your favorite treat?
Hmm... my current addiction, that I try to avoid, are these Oreo Cheesecake things that I got hooked on at a scrapbooking event! YUM-O!
