ok, so as the realtor was showing me the house, she said something about scrapbooking. One of the rooms was ALL pink and flowers and that just does not work for my boys, so she said that it would be a perfect room for scrapbooking. So we started talking about it when she asked me if I scrapbook. Long story short i told her I digital scrapbook and she was in awe of me explaining it to her. I told her of course about Oscraps and digital kits and the training class and she is so excited about it!!! That just made my whole day to share a common passion with someone, but just to give them a different perspective on it! And I know she will fit into this community really well! Do you guys have any stories like this to share?

:D

What a great story, I wish I could, but I have a little one. In the Netherlands we know paperscrapping over a few years, however I do it as long as I can remember. Familymembers didn't liked it sometimes, but perhaps I was to extreem with my scraps . Over many years I collected old photo's for my family-archive, most of the time a gift of familymembers. But since I digiscrap familymembers are more interresting and 'wanted also a scrap like that'. However my scraps are more extreem than my paperscraps . Anyway my collection heritage photo's is grown with about hundred photo's since I digiscrap.

Long long ago in a far away land there was a girl who looked at her sister's shiny book & shook her head saying. .... I'm far too tactile & I need paper in my hands.... Then the 2nd time around, more books to look at and she gave a demo to some that were with us..... the girl quietly listened & went home & said - there must be a way.... to do this!

and I will admit to no more

Last February, I was away on a scrapbooking retreat with a sister, friends & other family. I brought my hardcover bound digital album. Everyone's draw dropped and asked how did I do it? I did a quick demo to all. Since then, my sister has converted to the wonderful world of digital scrapbooking!

As for other stories..... Just showing my hardcover bound digital albums to people brings on many questions. Unless people ask, I usually don't bring them out. Anyway, a group of friends was wondering why I stopped scrapping at the monthly night outs. I explained what I was doing and the next time we saw each other, I brought my digital albums. Their jaws dropped at what could be done with digital photos and digital scrapbooking. Here are comments that I heard: "How did you do this?", "People would pay you to do this for them.", "How hard was this?", "Could I do this?", "Can you teach me?" I emailed all those people about Ronee's new class so I will see how serious they are to learn.

Anyway, it's amazing because there are so many people out there that don't even have an inkling what you can create. I just showed one friend my albums who had never even seen a paper scrapbook. Her comment was about all the journaling and preserving that information.

How many sisters do you have Heidi?

Bwhahahahahahahaha

(at least she didn't tell ya'll how I had disinterestedly pretended to ignore the presentation -- then later she asked how I had figured it out.... well I was listening -- I know, I know - no one believes that I was listening instead of talking - but it's true!!)

ROTF!
You all are too funny. Great way to spread the Oscraps word too, Tiff.

One of the best things I like when I show my printed digi-LO's, is when people have to touch them as if they can't believe that they are flat. :P
