It's WWW time!

Wednesday Wishes & Wants List

1. I want to get my Mum's labels for the Candle Night gifts typed and printed or the order will be here before I am ready! She raised 150 last Saturday, for Church funds :D

2. I want to play with Shrink paper again today! Last week's attempt was a small disaster because I didn't leave it in the oven long enough: I panicked when I saw it roll into a ball  Later DH popped one back in to see if straightened out and it did, but I'd thrown the other samples away!

3. I wish I wasn't still panicking about Christmas - I'm more organised than I've ever been, so what's the problem?? Being with other people... I'm easily irritated

You may have wondered where I've been? Or you might not!! So I'll tell you anyway   I was overtaken by some serious pain since Saturday evening: I should not stress about stuff it makes it worse, but I was too angry to take my own advice! So I managed to do what I had to do: update the blog (although that turned into a mammoth event after trying to sort out something for Dad that he'd read in the newspaper!) and spend time organising my own stuff. I knew you'd all be well looked after by the Cheery O's, so I took a little break :D

I hope no-one has been slacking while I've been gone?! I'll be back to read up what I've missed later, when I've done my labels :D

Welcome back Jane!! We misssed you. I'm sorry that you haven't felt well. That's not fun at all. Rest up & yes - we helped with the board... but it's just not the same as when you do it dear.

Wed's wants & wishes - hmmm ---
1) I wish that my staff eval's were done (other work has been a huge interruption & has my schedule wonky - how irritating that is -- they won't be done on time)

2) I wish had some time to myself - so I'm taking half a day tomorrow & Friday off!!!

3) I wish my penguins were out playing - Ill work on that this weekend as well as clean up my craft room (that wasnt' my idea - but he has a point)

Ok ladies - I'm off to read at DST then off to work!

YAY, JANE!!!! We MISSED you!!! I was actually a little worried (I'm a worrier--I worry about EVERYTHING)... I'm so sorry you weren't feeling well, but SO glad to have you back! Hope things are going better for you now!

Okay, I have an announcement to make: I scrapped TWELVE (12!!!) layouts yesterday! They were for the album I'm making for Mia's grandparents for Christmas. It's of her first year, so there's one page for each month starting last December. You'll see them start showing up in the gallery shortly (not all at once, of course). :)

In other news, Mia is still driving me nuts with her constant cranky fussing, which I'm still convinced is due to teething. Ugh. But at least she slept last night!

Let's see...my Wednesday Wants & Wishes:
1. I want to get my now-finished grandparents' album off to be printed.
2. I want to finish a second kit so I can put it up for sale on Friday.
3. I wish I didn't have to work today, so I could just attend to the business of digiscrapping (which is far more important, of course!). ;)

WELCOME BACK JANE!!!!!

I missed you!!! I had just decided this morning if you weren't here today I was hoppin' a plane and coming looking for you. Thankfully for my budget, your here ;) I'm sorry you've been in pain. Try not to stress too much, the holiday will happen whether we are 'prepared' or not. Better just to be gentle with ourselves and enjoy a relaxed holiday rather than a "perfect" holiday - it doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be done.

My WWW's for today.

I WILL make it to the post office and goodwill today.
I want to finish the tutorial for doing templates in photo editor.
I want to finish my new boy meets girl kit.

Hugs to everyone!!!!

Everyone's up and online early today.

Let's see my WWW's today.

1. I want to go back to bed.
2. I need to do that ironing that Cat won't come over and do.
3. I promise myself that I will be in bed before midnight.

Oh well, last night after the kids went to bed, my dh and I went shopping for songs last night at Walmart music downloads. Each song is $.88. I had originally planned on buying 2 Christmas songs and checking out. My dh says, while you are shopping here is my list. Needless to say $26 dollars later we checked out. One is a downloadable CD Album. Anyway, after downloading them, making CD's for backup, getting them on our music server and then we needed to listen to them. The internet shopping & instant downloading, is so much fun. Just like buying digital scrapbooking kits.

Good morning!!

Glad to see you posting again Jane! I hope you are feeling better very soon. Im sure your holidays are going to be really wonderful once you get everything done.

1. I wish that we find a house soon
2. I want to back up my files today
3. I wish my son a pain free day(story below :( )

Yes, my first trip to the ER yesterday afternoon with my oldest son Caleb(3). He was running and tripped and hit his head right on the edge of the Entertainment Center. Oh my he was bleeding everywhere. It gashed right above his left eyebrow, so my dh had just walked in from work when I was getting them ready for the trip to the hospital. Thank goodness, I don't think I could have handled them on my own there. So 3 1/2 hours later he has 6 stitches. I am soooo grateful that he did not get his eye. That would have been disastrous. :( But, he is none the wiser, thought he was getting a hair cut :?: LOL! He did so good, and I was so proud of him. He slept good last night, and I am just hoping that he doesn't feel much pain the next few days till they come out. This is the first time anythign like this has happened, so I was a little stressed. :? But, everythign is ok now! This to shall pass!

Hope all your wants and wishes come true, and have a fantastic day!

Oh Tiff, Just remember, the first time is most traumatic for YOU. The child probably won't remember.

And just a message for those with baby & toddlers . Be very careful going down the tube slides with a child on your lap. My son's foot caught on the side and my weight twisted his leg back. We ended up in the ER with an 18 month old with a broken leg. That was my first ER visit with a child and it was very traumatic for me. My dh still laughs at me because I was crying so hard that I put a 3 year old ds on the phone to tell him what happened.

Hey all!

Jane, glad you're getting some rest. And although I'm no shrink plastic expert, I DO TiVO Carol Duvall, and she recommends dusting your pieces with cornstarch or baby powder before heating 'em up. That way, the don't try so hard to melt to themselves...

Krista, if you bottled up your energy and sold it you would be a gazillionaire! Just reading your posts makes me feel like busting out into my aerobics moves! But I'll spare everyone the horror...

Genevieve, TWELVE?!?!?!?!?!? You must be drinking Krista Brew! That's AWESOME!!!!!

Tiffany, that first trip to the ER is very frightening, and those head wounds bleed profusely making it all the more frightening. Glad to hear you all got through it! Our little ones are brave troupers, and it's so true that Caleb won't remember a thing.

Heidi, the EXACT SAME THING happened to my niece. YIKES! I never would have thought of it.

Lela, good wishes for your DS's putting-the-cars-back-in-the-garage event. It's better he have it done now than later, right? (Um, Jen, yeah, that's why they do that thing now...)

My WWW's:
I wish you all oodles of scrap therapy

I wish Christmas shopping weren't so impossible (my Dad, the golfer, wants a very particular kind of golf ball and I think I'll only be able to find it under the Dalai Lama's left toe as he stands on top of Mt. Everest...)

I wish winter was only about snow...could do without slush, ice, and wind chill.

Have a great Wednesday, everyone!!!!!!

You had me sputtering all over the place!!!  I'm sorry Lela, surgery is never a thing to laugh about, but Jen did have a great description there! I hope all goes well tomorrow, I'm sure it will :)

As for all the kids' horror stories you've told me today... all I can say is thank goodness I'm not having any!!! I have done my fair share of scaring my Mum with similar accidents, I don't feel the need to repeat the experience from another angle

And for Danielle and Chris, or any of you feeling a bit low, have a hug http://www.thehappymoo.com/moo/hug3.gif

My shrink paper worked - mostly... there's a little dimple in the middle, but they are better than first time around. I'm thinking my oven is not hot enough because they took way longer than a couple of minutes - more like 15! Jen, they don't actually melt to themselves, eventually they straighten out - if you leave them long enough and don't panic like I did. I reckon if I dust them with anything I'll just make a complete mess of myself and them!

I did the labels in record time - I am the Queen of Mail Merge now :P I am actually so damn good it's frightening... you know I'm sure I've got a blinkie somewhere....

...except it's lost its blink...

Hi Girls,
I am freeeeeeee (well my work is mostly done). I have a board mtg tonite - so stuck here til 7 pm.

Well since we're sharing childring stories -- Monday night I was innocently driving home & my dh called & asked me to go pick up our child at work because she was sick. She's diabetic - so shouldn't be driving ...

So I get there & the nurse in her wing says I put her in the bed over there (& she must've seen my face) because then she asks where I parked & I said the front door. She then points at a wheel chair & said you can use that chair - and I'm thinking - holy crap people - what have you done to her?!!

When I went in 'Bob's room' - her feet were elevated & she was white as a sheet. She had almost fainted. She wanted to walk though - so I took her home. She slept when she got home & went to school yesterday. The nursing home had her scheduled for 4 evenings, one off then 3 more PLUS going to school. Today they expected the kids to miss school for an inservice & we said no.

So that's my story of the week. I'll be around more now that I'm putting myself on vacation.

And yes lol please do come find me if I don't surface from my craft room... I have 20 yrs of stuff there. ugh time to purge I believe...

Howdy, fellow moooooooooooooooooers!! Jane, missed ya, gal!

It's so fun to come here and read everyone's posts!! (jen, you make me cry, you're soooo funny!!) I really wanted to be here earlier, BUT...

*****attention* pitiful sob story about to begin*****

So the guys who are digging our new pool in our back yard cut the cable line so...No internet!! YIKE!!!!

***ok...maybe the part about the pool is not such a sob story...heh heh!!****

Anyway, I had to take my kids to their music lessons and my friend who teaches them had internet!! They may get extra long lessons today! I need the time to get everything done!

Here are my WWWs:

1. I want for my internet to get fixed immediately!! (please, cable guy, please come over quickly!!)
2. I want my dog not to detroy the house while we are gone. (Usually, he is outside, but with the pool construction...well, nuf said)
3. I wish my washing machine didn't spit up all over the whole laundry room (Yes, the Sears guy is coming tomorrow morning...*sigh*)

and one extra...
I wish happy scrapping for all and to all a good afternoon!!

(BTW, I did last week's Ad challenge with a picture I changed to text...it took a long time, but I really like the LO...you can see it here (http://www.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=2083&cat=507&limit=recent). Enjoy!!![/url]

Hmmm...here is mine:

I wish I would get over this sickness. It's been over a month -ever since I helped my friend clean her house for dinner party.

Either that or someone would give me a wad of cash so I could sit around and scrap all day and quit my job

hmmm...sick/dying doggie theme - my friend's dog Remington needs prayer. He's been losing weight rapidly. Her husband refuses to do anything (he's a real character) and my friend doesn't drive or really have any funds for vet expenses...Remington is an old hound dog that's lived in a muddy pen all his life. I feel really bad for him... He's such a sweetie.
