It's a new month and for someone a new beginning...

Congratulations to Vicki who is now selling at The Digi Shoppe

You know we all wish you lots of success over there :D

So now there are only 24 days to Christmas! And I have all my cards and letters done, ready to post. I have never been this organised! As DH and I had our Christmas presents early: our Sony Cybershot and year's subscription to a digital photo magazine, we haven't got much to spend or wrap this year. I've already wrapped one bag of presents for our parents and friends, just some small stuff, so there really isn't much left to do. I have learned one thing though: I should not wrap presents and fold and seal cards on the same day - my poor hands hurt up to my elbows! I make a pretty pathetic sight today pushing around in my chair, going "Ouch" and "Ooh" and "Oh dear!"

I've got my baking tray out and I'm determined to have go with this shrink paper today. Key rings for family methinks. And one for myself because I broke mine last week.

hello there ! :)

Congrats to you Vicki !!!

So mhhh yes ... december already ! time passes by too fast
I've played around yesterday evening and added a slideshow on the sidebar of my blog :D
Today the new stairs we are having built at home should be finished, we will be able to use it starting tomorrow afternoon !!! We moved in this summer and the house is divided in two seperate parts, which we are getting linked through those stairs. It's good news that it's over because even on the french riviera, it getting colder now and having to go outside to get the laundry, or for the kids to reach their play-room is getting less comfortable every day.

I admire you Mooshu for having all your presents ready ! I haven't even started thinking about what I can offer to people this year ... I think it will eventually end up like every year : on the 24th in the shopping centers .... !!!! :?

have a good day every one :)

Hi everyone!!

That was a cheery o greeting. Now let me drop that act for a moment as I run **screaming** through the thread-- it is decemeber...ahhhhhhhhh!!!! 24 days.....ahhhhhhhhhhh so much to do! ahhhhhhhhhhh!

*takes deep breaths, composes self and returns to normal volume*

CONGRATS Vicki!!

Jane, you go girl. look at all you have done, you are amazing! Hope that your hands feel better, we can't have our Happy Moo feeling sore.

Dumpty, is living in the Riviera as absolutely fab and glamorous as it sounds? Your house must have one interesting set up, can you show us pics of it?

I didn't get to go through all of the pics I had hoped to yesterday. Mom misunterstood me. I wanted her to bring *all* of our family pics. She brought just the ones from my dad's childhood, which in and of itself was really really cool! But my goodness, my grandmother was such a crab. I might have mentioned when I went to the reunion- my brother was first born son in a traditional Italian family. I never amounted to much in her eyes. We loved each other b/c we were family, but I don't think we ever really liked each other, and she for sure, never understood me-- me with my opinions and feelings of equality to **gasp** Italian men! LOLOL!
Anyway, I have pics of her on her **honeymoon** looking so crabby. But Ii did also find some pics of her smiling, holding my dad when he was newborn. I had never seen any of these pics before, so it was very cool. I was a busy scanner yesterday and I want to get working on them today.

Do any of you have advice for doing a heritage type album? I always did "kid albums" so they were usually fun and funky. That isn't going to work with these. Shoudl I start a new thread somewhere for that, so it doesn't get lost in here?

Hmmm, I just realized, I never made it back into the Thurs O-Thread, and now have nothing to comment on for the rest of you.

SoI am off to do that.

((((hugs))) and "happy" December! :D

Good morning girls!

Congratulations Vicki on your new digs!! We love you. Have you warned the Digi Shoppe girls about the Cheery O's? We'll be over there supporting you & DST has already heard - thanks Khrista!! The announcement looked great - you rawk girl!

Oh Jane our happy Moo - how wonderful that you're done with your Christmas shopping & I need to ummm start. I'm sure you'll be motivating with your countdown. :) *chuckling here*. I rarely procrastinate but in this case I'm with Dumpty. Although I do order much online.

Chris - I'm finishing my 3rd heritage album. The first 2 turned out great. I've done one for my mom & one for dad's side. As my sister knows - our mom had all the photos in a box too. But when she would show them - the names would change & her & dad would each be discussing who's relative it was... so I had to get those projects done. They took me awhile though.

I digitized all the photos by scanning them. Then organized the photos by folder.

Here's how I set them up - using my dad's:
Dad & his childhood
Dad's mom & her photos and going back her parents.. and back
Dad's father & his photos and going back generations...

That worked for me. I have a few heritage photos in my gallery. Some of my fav's that I've rescrapped.

Well - I was at work yesterday for 10 hrs. The new software & hardware was installed & the kids were excited last night (although if it means using the computers again - then of course they'll oblige). The deal is NOW everyone MUST have a library card. Before they didn't have to. But when I left people couldn't print so I have that to look forward to today.

AND YES I HAVE NEWS.... and once I get confirmation that it's all official 'dicial - you'll all know! It will be soon! It's very exciting!! We can always use more talented people here. And I love this girl. I've known her thru her blog for awhile & most recently have gotten to know her on Hello. I am SOOOOOO excited ...

I hope that everyone has a happy Friday! I am looking forward to weekend. And I need to kick this cough.

Howdy girls and Happy Friday!

I fear I'll never catch up :)

Today is Dh's birthday ( his brother's too, though he's 4 years older) so we'll be doing a bit of celebrating. I'm absolutely going to get the Christmas stuff down so we can start decorating. I'm starting to feel more festive since we finally dropped out of the 80's. Yep winter arrived!

Congrats Vicki on your move!

Jane, you are amazing! I need you to come to my house ;)

Chris, I'd like to hear suggestions about the heritage album, I'd like to start one for my dad. I've only done the odd page here and there and stink at sticking to "themes" lol

Connie, can't wait to hear your news.

Good morning ladies!!!!

I don't know if anyone missed me or not, but I sure missed you gals!!! :)

I had a much needed and deserved break from the kiddos and hubby to go party with my girls in the city. :) We had a great time! I did make a little list and a map in my head of my shopping route for my guys, so my Christmas shopping will be done by the 18th! You go Jane! Hope your "owies" go away soon.

Congrats to Vicki on your move!!

Connie, what a teaser! So unfair! I wanna know now!!!!!! :)

Hope everyone is having a FANTASTIC FRIDAY!!! It is our Anniversary, and I need to finish my hubbys Anniversary card before he gets home from work. Shhhh.....dont' tell! LOL!!!!! :)

Good morning everyone.

It is so nice to feel back to normal after that stomach flu bug/cold combo. Sure I am still sniffeling but at least I can get back to doing the regular things.

Ever realize how much you do around the house? I am out for 2 days and I now need to find my counter under the junk mail, the table under the kids "stuff", and the fridge is bare. But I have a new laptop so maybe it can wait another day or so.

Pondering.. the idea of living on the Riveria. I just keep trying to talk some family member into retiring and moving South. Then we can head south instead of to the northern tundra of North MN and ND.

Chris, for your heritage album, what you need is a sister. Specifically one that does all the scanning of those heritage photos, organizing it, labeling it and journaling it AND shares it all with you. Love ya sis and thanks for doing all the work. I was supporting you all the way!

Congratulations Vicki! :D

Good morning, one and all!

Congrats, Vicki!!!! And why do I feel the sudden urge to go shopping???

Jane, you are to be envied. You may be sore, but you have accomplished more than most so far this holiday season. Now you can sit back and enjoy this time of year!

Dumpty, FRENCH RIVIERA?!?!?!?!?!? Ohmigosh. That would be awesome. With or without stairs.

Krista, I bet a few O's would be happy to give you some snow. Sounds like most of the midwest has a foot or two to spare! Hoping Carla isn't lost under a snowbank!

Heritage pages. I love 'em. Absolutely love 'em. I could look at them all day. It's so fantastic to showcase your family history, and everybody has a unique and wonderful story. Show me your stuff!

Keely, enjoy all your birthday-ing today! And your Christmas-ing, too.

Tiffany, glad you enjoyed your girl time. It's always nice to get out of the prison, oops, I mean, house! Yes, we all need a break now and then. Makes us better mommies and wifeys, for sure.

Heidi, glad to hear illness is abiding. And, yes, don't we women folk do a ton? Don't you wish you could be as oblivious to clutter and empty fridges? I love being a girl, but sometimes I wish I could have just a piece of that Y chromosome, just to see what it's like not to feel compelled to do chores...

Peace out, all! Think warm, think sun, think happy thoughts! And B Creative today. (I watch TOO MUCH HGTV and DIY.)

Happy Friday MOOOOOrning!

Sounds like everyone here is going great gangbusters! I've finished my kids Christmas shopping (except one gift for my son). Now I have to figure out what I'm doing for the adults. I want to create a bunch of stuff, calendars, mini-books, recipe books, mini-quilts, and other stuff, but I'm not sure of my time. We have to stay diligent with school so I'm trying to be good...we'll see how far that goes!

Jane, you are an inspiration with your cards. I haven't even taken my kids' pic yet! yike!

Dumpty, your house sounds very interesting...yes, share pics, share pics!!

Chris, aren't families the most mind-boggling thing ever? (you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your relatives!!) I'm longing to do a heritage album, too, but not yet...

Krista, enjoy the rain and your dance program!

Connie, you go girl! You are so good at explaining organization...love you!!

Keely, have fun celebrating. We just had three birthdays in a row here...and I'm worn out!! Time for Christmas

Tiffany, your time out sounds heavenly! I can't wait to go to my dh's Christmas party tomorrow night at a fancy-schmancy club with no kids!! (I do love my kids, but time for a break!!)

Heidi, glad you are feeling better!! I know exactly how that happens when you're out for several days and no one else can find anything or clean anything or do anything...hmmmmmmmmm! Enjoy your laptop!

you girls don't have toooooo much fun today!

oh..and ...

CONGRATS VICKI!!! WOOOEEEE!! YOU ROCK, GIRLIE!!!!

LOL!!! Um, yup! That's basically how I'm feeling, too! Although I don't have much Christmas shopping to do--my siblings and I have decided to just draw names out of a hat, and just buy for that one person this year. Makes things SO much easier. And I've already decided to do albums of Mia for the grandparents this year (which I need to finish and then send to be printed!). And of course, Mia's only one(actually, she'll be one on the 13th!)...and we're just buying her a convertable crib (she's been sleeping in a Pack-n-Play for the past year). But still, December is such a stressful month! Ugh!

Anyways, I gotta echo Tiffany! I MISSED you girls while I was gone! I see some new faces--HI, there!!! :) I'm back now and hopefully will be able to check in every morning like before!

Jane, you cheerful moo! Let us know how your shrink paper keychains turn out! :)

Connie--Can't wait to hear your news! I do so love news! :)

And YAY to Vicki! The Digi Shoppe!!! Movin' on up! ;)

And to all my other daily Moos girls--MWAH! Have a fab Friday, everyone!

I think I'm gonna go crazy today. It all started with Marilyn pulling a coffee filter out of the trash first thing and flinging it at me. Grounds went everywhere! Things aren't starting to go any better either...

No printers will work with my computer, so I'm trying to figure that one out too.

Can you tell I'm slightly frazeled???

Hi all
Well, I couldn't get out of my driveway this morning....no way the little beetle was going to hurdle the 10 inches of snow in southwest MO today....

....so, my newspaper (in Joplin) traded me to the Carthage newspaper (we're in the same chain), for the Carthage guy who lives in Joplin....

...neither of us could get out of the respective towns.

So, one person on the Carthage staff had a truck and she's been driving everyone around town...

Anyway, the weather outside is frightful here...
Southwest MO people don't know how to handle snow....

Congrats on all the good news,
Kaylea

Hey everyone, I'm a new designer here. My name is Debra Tope and Vicki recently asked me to join Oscraps - it's really exciting and it seems like a fun bunch. I am learning design so all my stuff so far is free.

Someone asked about heritage - my freebies are all good for heritage + there are some great ideas for heritage layouts in heritage challenge forum at Scrapartist and also the memory art digital forum at DigitalArtQuirks. Maybe there will be an interest in heritage here at some point.

How fun Carla!

And yes Sister Heidi.... I was glad to do those albums. Girls, we figured out a unique way to use Hello. I took photos of each of the 81 pages in our dad's book - then transmitted them over Hello to Heidi. She's going to create a digital version of the book. (One that my mom can't take apart! She has habit of photocopying things.... and taking albums apart.)
