OOOoooohhhhhhh - the pain... I won't be here much today until my eye gets over it's issue. (You know it's bad when you give up online work).

I don't know what happened, but I took my right contact out last night & it was sore - but I woke up to a burning, searing pain. I put a wet towel on it & slept. But now today - we're trying to rinse it out. Something is really irritating it. I'm on the verge of putting a patch over it - so I can get something done. It's like someone dumped a truckload of sharp gravel in it.

Any ideas anyone? I'm going to try to hold off on the ER room & wait for the eye dr tomorrow. ugh.

Sounds like maybe it's scratched. Like perhaps something got under your contact and was scratching all day... Sometimes, a contact acts like a bandaid as far as pain relief so now that the contact is out and the air can hit it, its hurting way worse. Don't put the contact back in though - that won't help at this point.

I believe there are some numbing drops you can get at the pharmacy to hold you over til tomorrow. Patching it might actually not be a bad idea as blinking also hurts more when it's scratched.

Of course, if it's an infection the above probably won't help much. Is it crusting over or just hurting? If it is crusting over, you can use a solution of 1 part baby shampoo to 10 parts water to wash the outside of the eye to remove the crust.

Good luck and hugs!

I just realized I answered Connie's post forgetting this was the O's. So, um, I'm not awake yet this morning. Krista will attest to the fact that I was up very late last light so I'm a little groggy.

We had hubby's work Christmas party last night. It was really fun. He works in the IT department of our state department of health and several of the workers there put together a small band to play to at the party. They called themselves the S.H.I.T.S. lol (State Health Information Technology Specialists). It was way funny and while everyone who knew them thought they were fabulous and had a wonderful time, the other patrons in the bar thought it was more like karaoke and were glad when they stopped lmao! I'll try to get some pics posted at some point.

Today, I'm gonna try to get some pics from our wedding scanned and scrapped for the Simple Scrapbooks call...we'll see if I do or not as I'm in the mood to do a little online gaming today and may see if I can get in on a dungeon raid.

That doesn't sound fun at all Connie. I don't have any suggestions for you other than just keeping it as closed as possible.

oh connie :? that's really painful huh ? :(
from my own experience I'd say it could be a conjunctivitis(does the word make any sense ? I got the french word translated in altavista babelfish ... ). I hope I'm wrong, but if I'm right there's nothing much you can do until you get to a doctor where your might get the adeqate eye lotion prescripted ... hope you feel better soon !!

So about the Oooo's now ;)
mhhhh sunday (and therefore the weekend) it getting to an end here :( (already 7:30 pm) .... It was quite a nice week-end and we've put the ground floor (the one down our new stairs) back in order ;)
I also got a little scrapping and blogging done.
Too bad I must get back to work tomorrow .... But the good news is : it's my last week before my holiday !!! :D

aye mateys! (how do I sound as a pirate? My dd's boyfriend offered to color the eye patch black for authenticity, but I declined).

I really avoid ER rooms, but today I couldn't stand the pain & went over. My eye isn't scratched - so that's good. But the dr had to numb my eye to work with the eyelids - and he wouldn't let me have the bottle (said I'd hurt myself ha ha ha).

Anyway I'm back but a little hampered - my right eye is dominant so scrapping this afternoon will be interesting. Glad to hear that everyone else is keeping busy.

I'm going to try some puter time now and get caught up. I'm on Carla's CT & she sent a whole bunch of goodies that I dl'ed this morning.

Ouch Connie I hope that gets better soon.

As for me, its a yucky, rainy, windy day in Scotland, what a suprise

Now, I wish we would get snow to get me into that Christmas feel, I want to wrap presents but cant, a)there is no snow, and b)I have lost the Christmas CD, for some reason the CD cover says Christmas Album, inside I have the Tweenies album!

Both myself and my DS have the cold, mine is more a head cold, DS has a lovely shade of green dripping out of his nose! :? Sarah gaves us the cold, which I should not complain about because at least they are sharing something for a change!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend, its Monday tomorrow WOOT means DH is back to work!! Dont get me wrong, love him to bits, but its like having a 3rd child under your feet!!

Connie I feel your pain. Once I had a contact lens stick to my eye and killed cornea cells fromlackof oxygen. Worst pain ,other than childbirth. Take care of that eye, and get some rest girl.

Cat, hope you all feel better too. The weather sounds perfect for a sneezy drippy nose day. And I can totally relate to the 3rd Child Syndrome. Try having hubby home for almost 3 years! Aaaahhhhh!!

Dumpty, great news on getting your home in order. Construcution is the pits. Dont forget we want to see pictures.

Danielle- *fingers crossed* you get that new computer.

Vicki, the S.H....'s OMG, that is too funny. And they say state workers have no sense of humor. ;)

Well, it is early on Mon morning, so I better goo see if our Happy Moo-er has a new Moo Thread up yet.

:)
