My first order of business this moo-rning is to welcome Carla :D I don't know why she's worried she has nothing to say because she spends her time designing, because it's really no barrier - just make it all up, like I do

Ronee's new Ad Challenge (http://www.oscraps.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=397) is up, and she has really done a great LO herself. I think I might have been stumped before I'd seen what Ronee has done: coem and have a go this week, if you have time, it's a great way to get thinking creatively :D

Meanwhile, I find I have a new appreciation for my boring front gate since Connie described it to me as "So Englsih!" She's right it is, and suddenly I'm rather attached to it! I'd best not tell her there are two more like it on the driveway

I think I might have to get some more photographs of this typically English gate and make some Lo's... Not today though, it's pouring with rain... and now I have to dash, my Mr Fixit man has arrived!

good moooooorning and Happy Halloween!

I have a great costume tis year. I am dressed up as a "Harried Housewife" perfect for my trip grocery shopiing this morning. Do you think anyone will recognize me? 8)

Yesterday was so hectic. For my aromatherapy busieness I sell my products at craft shows as well as online. I am doing a show on this Friday night and I am pulling everything out of my supply closet, inventory-ing, figuring out what new stuff to make.... While at the same time, I am doing all of my regular kids/school/house work. I am dizzy!Today I am going to see what I can make with a new Frgrance Oil I have. I am trying out a copy cat of Sarah Jessica Parker's perfume. I was hoping to make some more faery-wings (I amke them out of wire and fabric, lots of feathers and glitter etc) but they take a long time to make. Maybe for the next show.

Carla, glad you are here chatting with us! There is always something to chat about.

Gen, thank you for the compliments on The Gift LO I did. You all will be seeing lots of pics of my daughter and her "cousin." The other girl is my best freinds DD so they are cousins even though not blood related.

Sally, my MIL is in TX for the Quilt SHow too. She is a quilt designer and goes every year. She is trying to get me to learn how to quilt, but sewing is not my thing. But she is now teaching Cait (my DD) and at 8 yo, she sews 1000 times better than me.

Hi Alyx! Loved playing your game, hope there are no holes in the T or T bag when you get your candy tonight :)

Anna- 4 LO's? You rock! Glad that toe is feeling better.

Jane, awesome gate, yes -- seems very "English." That bites about the boiler, we had something similar with our dishwasher. grrr.

Connie, I have to say, from your picture, you look like there is *no way possible* that you have a teenager. TFS the story!

Waves hi to Ronee-- gotta see if I can squeeze some scrap time in to do your ad challenge, I always liked doing them.

See you all soon!!

Morning y'all!

Yesterday was an awesome day! I had so much fun following my munchkin around the site, seeing it through his eyes! ;)

We took his best friend with us to the get the new cast - partly because I pick them both up from school everyday and the appointment was immediately after school, but also just because Alyx wanted him there for support and he wanted to be there to see what getting a cast was like. Oy Vay! These boys are normally so well behaved, but we ended up waiting over an hour in the waiting room and they drove me to distraction. And, then, it was all drama with Alyx's arm feeling "wierd" without the cast. They were pretty funny when the nurse was sawing off the old one. She and I were laughing so hard!

He got a black one this time - to match his costume. I tried to remind him that he would have the cast for 4 weeks and only wear the costume for one day... but lol, oh well. We did get the type you can get wet this time and, wow, the water drained out of that sucker for a full 10 min after his bath. Crazy!

Today, I've got to go and buy candy first thing this morning so I don't forget LOL! I normally buy it weeks in advance but then it always ends up gone before Halloween. So, I decided I didn't really need to be eating all that candy this year, so waiting til the last minute!

The weather has been gorgeous here until today - it is FREEZING and the wind is howling! Typical Halloween I guess... Good thing daddy walks the neighborhood and not mommy lol.

Happy Halloween everyone!
Good thing we have tough little ones up here - because they're going to be trick or treating in 20 degree weather & fresh snow tonite.

Vicki - sounds like your trip to the doctor was entertaining. Good that your little man can make his cast suit his costume! (My dd is scheduled to work at the nursing home tonite - and she said on Sunday that she was calling in sick - we suggested - umm, no - you're not skipping work to go trick or treating!)

aw ty Chris - compliments are always welcome. You know though - on Saturday - my dh said 'You're lucky that you held your looks'. I thought to myself.. where'd that come from? and would he tell me if he thought otherwise? It sounds like you're very busy Chris! a fun business venture.

Jane - I do love your gate! It's not plain at all.

Ronee - I'll have to check out your ad challenge. What I love about doing challenges is that I always learn something new about my software or a new take on scrapping. Thanks for that!

Off to work girls - laters,

Not A goog mooday.
I stayed home from work, I am still fighting this pneumonia. I had to call in for a conference, we have a new CEO with that said we were informed a lot of our jobs will be outsourcing to India sometimes next year.
The company will try to accommodate as much as they can.

It has been a controversy in the IT world for the past 10 with 79% of Sofware company going to India I tought we were immuned to it. Since the company slogan is 100% American mmmmmm...... makes u wonder what that means???
Which means I will be out of a job I luv by the first of the year...

Dell, Ibm all the majors are showing great profit due to low expenses, they are paying Indian Programmers with Master degrees, $25-30.000 a year as opposed to the begining salary of 70, with just a 4 year degree.
It all makes sense on the bottom line, but I am truly unhappy to be losing my job.

Please keep me in your prayers that I find something decent soon.

Sorry about the vent.
Have a great day, everyone.

Happy Halloween Everyone!!

Jane, I think your gate is awesome! I want one!

Hi Chris! Oh man is it a lot of work to get aromatherapy products ready for a sale. I tried that business venture for about a year, and then realized that the only part I liked about it was designing the website, lol, so I keep my aromatherapy creations to friends and family (and just give everyone else unsolicited advice, lol) and I work on websites and scrappy stuff.

Vicki, I can't imagine getting a cast and then getting it wet, seems like it would get all gross on the inside from not drying all the way, but I guess if you don't wash it it gets all gross and smelly too.

As for me, today I'm finishing up a yoda costume, just under the wire, going grocery shopping, working on some web stuff, and a new template set that I wanted to finish this week. Chris stole my halloween costume so I have to think of something new, lol. :P

Talk to you all later!

Hi girlies!!

Maggie, I'm totally praying for you, girl! My hubby owns his own IT business and has been hit hard with outsourcing for a year now. I'm glad you have designing to do to keep your mind off of it (it does, doesn't it??).

As for us here today, we don't celebrate Halloween, but we are going to a church festival tonight, and the kids are dressing up as the three wise men and an angel. I have to run to our church to borrow the costumes this afternoon. Then tomorrow hopefully I'll have a chance to take our Christmas picture for our cards. The kids are going to do the nativity scene...I may change and have my husband and me dress up, too as Mary and Joseph in the pic and have the kiddos stay as the three wise men. I'm not sure. The beauty of creativity is you can change on a whim...right????

Jane, love the gate..more pics, more pics...

Connie, fresh snow????? I'm sitting here in TX in shorts...oh well...

Ronee, thanks for the ad challenge...will definitely engage in that one!!

Vicki, love the *howling* weather up there!!

Chris, I want some aromatherapy products...hmmmmm (btw, you didn't steal that costume from me - I'm still wearing it!!!)

Anyone else listening to Christmas music yet???

Happy Mooos -day, everyone!
