Hey girls, have you noticed we've almost done a week of Daily Moos? Well, if you count a 5 day working week, not an actual 7 day week

Today is my 3-weekly visit from the Library :D Because I have hand problems I managed to sign on to the home delivery for library books. I love it when they turn up with my books for the next 3 weeks, they do a really good job of picking what you like. Not to mention that I get a first peek at a lot of the new releases too.

I finished a project last night and am really pleased with how it turned out. If I can iron out a glitch on my website I will be uploading it today. I'm such a perfectionist: the layout has gone just slightly wonky in that there's not the same gap between the photograph and text as there is on the other paragraphs and it niggles me   I bet it's so small a glitch no-one else would notice it!

I thought DH was dreaming stood up this morning. He always peeks out of the curtains in the morning to see what the weather is doing, and he kept saying, "Fox! Fox!" I was barely awake myself and couldn't understand what he was gabbling about: apparently there was a fox in the middle of the road outside our house! We're not really in the countryside here, although we do have a couple of fields across the way, but they lead straight to another estate of houses. We think myabe he was more adventurous and popped out because all four houses opposite us are empty, plus so are all the 2-storey block of flats (that's apartments over the pond) which are due for demolition sometime soon.

Well, I think I'll go off and get my virtual iron out and fix my wonky layout. Unlike Connie who is wanted by all ](see here) (http://www.oscraps.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=364) and quite rightly too, congratulations Connie!!! I'm going to sit in a corner and sulk because no-one wanted me. **sniff** **moo**

Jane -- that is awesome that the library comes to you. You'll have to let us know what you pick out to read.
I bet you are right no one would notice your glitch, but that kind of stuff eats at me too. Very cool about the fox. I am semi-rural here and we live inthe heart of bear country (black bears) and we get to see them quite often, esp. at this time of year. but I have only seen a few foxes.

have a wonderful day everyone!

Jane we need you here! You're just so sweet. I can't wait to see your new Layout. Get it up so we can give it some love! I'm glad that the library comes to you. I wish we could do more of that - we do have a program - but I haven't expanded to residential yet.

hmmm I wonder what kind of a day it's going to be when I started it out with my contacts mixed up? My vision has more correction in my eye - and it makes me wonder where my brain was when I took them out last night? lol

Edhish - we want pictures of that bundle of cuteness!

Chris - it sounds like you have a creative son! Our labs are 4 & still think they're puppies... at least they live outside - or my house would be a wreck!

Ronee - I hope you got the computer back last night. I was going to tell you that there is also a synch function if your computers are networked - and you wanted to back up. Once you were set up - that would be helpful.

Gen - I'm still pondering how I can use those postage stamps - they ARE too cool! LOVE love them!

ok girls - for once I can't think of anything else to say... oh! I know - I was going to tell you that I've started having my O! in the morning & skipping DST. You guys are the best! 8)

Hey Girls,

Connie, I'm with you... I usually get my O! in the morning before anything else starts!! Love it here...

Chris, my kiddos are doing a presentation on three different inventions tonight for their dad (the principal of our little school we have here at home! - love those principal/teacher conferences!! wooee!) So we'll learn about the Erie Canal, the Flying Shuttle and the invention that Maggie Knight invented to stop the flying shuttle from harming weavers when the thread broke on the loom. Whew! Glad they are doing the presentations...I'm not sure if I can keep up with all that info!! That's neat about your son inventing! I hadn't even thought about that...maybe next time we study inventions...we are going in chronological order in history.

Anyone have a Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks yet? I had an iced one at Target while grocery shopping yesterday! Yum!!!! Fall is here (even if it was 80 degrees outside...yike!)

Have a great day, all!!

Oo! Oo! Spice pumpkin lattes at Starbucks?!?! Ours hasn't started that yet, but they do have Maple Macchiatos(sp?). I like the Gingerbread lattes at Christmas time. :)

Connie, so glad you like those faux postage packs! I had fun making them, and I know whatever you come up with will be great! ;) HAS to be if Miriam's got you creating for her! Go you! She's super sweet, too.

Mooshu, YAY for Library delivery! The library I have does nothing so cool. In fact, it hardly has any books (that I consider) worth reading. Kind of a pathetic library, really. Sad. I LOVE to read. Didn't you mention Tad Williams in a previous Moos? I started the Dragonbone Chair a looooong time ago, but got interrupted by something (college, maybe?), and never finished. I remember liking it, though. I should pick it up again sometime(my old copy has long since vanished). Right now I'm reading The Runelords by David Farland and it is excellent so far.

I am SO with you girls on coming here for my morning O! ;) I kind of feel invisible at DST most of the time. lol But NOT HERE! Yay!

So my day so far...same ol' same ol', MINUS my EHD (which has ALL my digiscrapping stuff on it) because my DH STOLE IT (so he could free up some space on his laptop)!!!! He says I'll get it back, but taking my EHD away is literally like cutting off my digiscrappin' IV--I'm jonesing big time here!!!

Vicki, how are the grumps today? I hope they go away and leave you alone! :) You could always sort some more coupons to cheer yourself up!

Alright here's my plan for the day...

I'm going back to my Flylady roots... 15 Min at a time on each thing. I've got 5 min left on my "forum" time - yikes! That is not enough lol...

So, I'm going to try to get the house all picked up and ready for that thing we aren't supposed to talk about here - you know, the "C" word.

My son is also a mad scientist. I've already bought him one Christmas present so far this year - the Ben 10 Mad Scientist Lab (I may regret that lol)

Maggie - I think you've got your best work ever in DragonFlaire. Congrats girl, it's a lovely site! I hope you feel better soon - it stinks being sick!

We had a lab until earlier this year. Her name was Kitty :) She was the best dog ever - once she stopped being an escape artist. When she was a puppy she would actually climb the chain link fence at our old house to go explore. We tried the little shock line but I got shocked more than she did (yeah, I don't learn apparently lol). What finally worked was putting 2 feet of chicken wire at the top so that when she got to that part it wasn't sturdy enough to support her weight so she couldn't make it over.

Alright, now I've got to go do 15 min of laundry, then 15 min on "The Gift" kit, then 15 min of toy duty...

Wish me luck today.

ok, I just have to add...

What better way to start the day than with the Big "O"!

LMAO!!!!

Morning girls

Jane if the library came to me and brought books I would NEVER get anything else done! I love to read, so much so that I really avoid getting new books unless I know I am going to have some "down" time because I will completely blow everything else that I am supposed to do off just to read.......it annoys my family LOL.

Connie congrats on all the new blinkies, you are rockin the CT's girl!

Vicki I am ROFLMAO at your 15 minute thing......you are going to drive yourself crazy LOL. Any hey the sun is shining right now but I think we have a chance of storms this afternoon.......ewwwww.

I am at the office now, we woke up really late this morning and I had to scream at everyone just to get them out the door. I hate to start my mornings that way but I'm in charge of waking everyone up and for the 1st time in FOREVER I slept really well last night (thank you Lortab)
Oh my GOSH other big news I COOKED last night ...........woo hooo me.
I used to cook all the time, but NOT so much anymore so when I do manage to churn out a meal I like to announce it 8) I made stew and cornbread, since it was kind of chilly yesterday that sounded good to me.
WOW I'm quite chatty this morning, guess I had better take some of this energy and use it for work stuff.....ugggg.

I'm off to post the Love O Layout thread, so if you have a layout you love and want us all to see put it in there.

LMAO Anna! I'm actually getting things done. If I don't set limits, I get burned out and then spending the whole day on the computer.

I do the same thing with books Anna, I'm going to be going to LA the first week of Nov (DH has a work thing) and I've had my eye on a new book just waiting for this trip so I can read it!!!! It's the latest in the Kushiel series and I'm just praying its as beautifully written and elegant as the rest of the series. I read another set by the same author that were good, but not the storytelling masterpiece of this series. - Again, this series is NOT for the weak of heart -

Let's see what I've gotten done so far today...
2 loads of laundry folded and put away, 2 in the works right now waiting for their next 15 min round.

The hallway swept and mopped (lol and even the walls washed - when the heck did someone spill a coke in there and how come I didn't notice the splatter on the wall  )

Kitchen's done except for the floor.

Worked on a the 2nd collab thing for PDW that I forgot I needed to get done by today, so I had to put off working on The Gift previews.

Living room is partially de-toyed. My son went to the Yamboree last week while we were in Vegas and his grandma let him play all the carnival games until he won just about every toy in existence! UGH!

Got him all unpacked from that trip - thank goodness that boy has a lot of clothes lol.

So, I think I did something else, but I can't remember now - could this be the madness that Anna predicts?

I've got 5 min of Forum/Email time left...

Good grief, I'm worn out reading all that Vicki   It seems this Flylady stuff is working for you though, look how much you've got done!

Yes Genevieve I did mention Tad Williams somewhere back in the mists of time. You should try them again, they a fabulous books, honest!

I haven't been near my bookshelf yet because I'd be tempted to start a new book and I had some stuff I wanted to get done today. I can treat myself this evening though, because I have achieved my goal :D :D

Anna, you sound like me with the cooking  We didn't get our kitchen lowered to wheelchair height immediately after we were married, so now five years later, although I have my own section, I still leave all the cooking to DH, he's so much better than me

I finally sorted my wonky layout, which was all my fault for not resizing my image properly in the first place  It's not a layout as such: this is the new Christmas card I've designed for this year, now uploaded and looking good, if I say so myself :D

Great card Jane!

Vicki - whoa! you've been busy, busy.

Anna - your cooking sounds yummy! I am very lucky that I put in my request & DH usually has supper ready when I get home at 6. (that's my survival) - on the weekends I cook & freeze

Carla - I'm excited to join your team!

speaking of being busy... I spent all of yesterday on a mailing list & half of today (maybe that's why the contacts got mixed?) - anyway, I forgot to eat lunch - and it was Rotary today - which I've already paid for - DUH!

But my envelopes are printing (with no issues - hurray!)... I'll let them fly til the printer overheats. I have 8000 to do - umm before Monday when the stuffers are coming.

Well, that's pretty much going to be the end of my cleaning for today. My brother in law called and said he and his co-workers were going over to my favorite restaurant for lunch, so I hightailed it over there to meet them! And, of course hubby called on my way there, so I had to get him some to go and take it by his work afterwards. I stopped at the grocery store on the way home.

I've got a gajillion projects that need to be done this weekend, so I'm on the puter for the rest of the day... except for those last 2 loads of laundry.

Maggie, definately take care of yourself, walking pnuemonia is horrible!!!

Connie, 8000 envelopes - yikes!

Miss Moo and Miss Connie, smart thinking on getting your hubbies to cook! Have you all seen what happens when I cook? it's posted somewhere here in the forums lol...

I wish that I had Vicki's clean house.

Sending you some get well vibes Maggie-girl!
Nite ladies
