I'm here this moo-rning!

I had the beat night's sleep I've had for a while, with apologies to Genevieve, who I hope does get some sleep soon :)

There is a state of affairs that simply cannot continue: my DH has taught me something in PSP!!! I am the expert, he should not be able to pick up a whole new technique and tell me how to do it in the space of half an hour!!! I'm going to take him away from the computer now, to go and watch something we recorded last night, that'll stop him

I'll be back

LOLOLOL Jane!! That cracks me up... how dare he! overtake your realm! Wait though ..... consider the possibilities! Just think if you & he started scrapping as a team - it's a thought!

Girls I seriously need to change my router settings I think. It needs to shut off at 10:30 pm. We've had 2 sleepovers in a row (although I think Fri. night was only a half one - when she came in so late!) - last night we had 3 childrings here running around at midnight and I was up with them! But like Jane I slept well too.

And now at 7:15 am - I find myself with a totally NEW amazing organizational tool in regard to email!!! I'm very excited & it was easy to set up. wanna know?

Well I use Thunderbird at work (Mozilla's email) - and am used to that. I have access to 2 profiles - my email & my branch's - mine has a # of folders & I live by that system there.

In 15 minutes I have successfully set up a Thunderbird acct to access my new gmail account & am setting folders as we speak!! That yahoo beta with all it's crappy blinking ads that was driving me crazy is SO GONE! AND, I'm going to have my techie from work help me put my work email into a profile so that I will be able to quickly access work email same as I do at work! (we have remote access, but it doesn't have my address book - so I can't do group email from home...and sometimes I just want to send a group hug to my peoples! or remind them of something).

*edit* I just imported my address book from yahoo! am on a roll! woot!

Oh Connie, thanks for the reminder about thunderbird! I set it up awhile back and never got around to finishing adding all my email accounts to it. I need to do that as the 'no folder' thing in gmail drives me batty!

Last night I started a new little somethin', somethin' that I'm going to try to finish up today and get posted.

I'm gonna go watch Friday's Battlestar first though. Anyone else watch that?

My favorite shows that I watch religiously are
Battlestar Gallactica,
Dr. Who,
Heroes
and Lost (I can't believe they've already had the season finale! grumble, grumble).

What shows are y'all's favorites?

What shows are y'all's favorites?
Dr Who, and it's spin-off here, Torchwood: I have been scared by Dr Who all my life - the first real threats were those Autons, shop dummies coming to life. Even now I still look over my shoulder when passing one  Torchwood last night was quite a dark episode, bringing back the fear of the Cybermen, great show!

Star Trek: Loved this in all its incarnations, except the last Enterprise with Scott Bakula. Perhaps they didn't give us long enough to grow attached. I did once toy with the idea of having Janeway as my internet name

The West Wing: We've got it all on DVD and I love watching it. There's so much to see each time you watch, it's fabulous!

Spooks: Good old MI5 conspiracy stories, very British!

The CSI's: Mainly the original and Miami, because DH isn't keen on NY.

Lost: We love that here too :)

Well done with your organising Connie. I use Outlook to manage my 9 email addresses - and I've finally got message rules to work, in the main. There's still some glitches, but I don't think I'm missing anything important

I've sat reading all afternoon and I'm stiff as a board! Now it's supper-time, meatballs and spaghetti tonight :D

I loved Enterprise. I was sooooooo sad when it was cancelled - but then again, I was in love with Trip!!! oh, so adorable!

We don't have torchwood here yet... i think BBC-A is a year behind.

I miss Christopher Eckelston - ooooh, he was the BEST Dr EVER! Barty Crouch Jr (I have no idea what his real name is lol) is OK as the Dr but a little hyper for my taste...

I'm a BIG scifi fan... I love the possibilities :)

Trekkies live at my house too.

I love possibilities too - but more in the lines of Desperate Housewives. I don't own the remote so it's whatever he's clicking thru - which is fine be me - I'd rather talk to you girls.

Hey ya'll - my DH is taking me out for dinner tomorrow night! to celebrate the end of deer htg season today !!!!!!!!!

Hi girls...
sorry I've been MIA this weekend. I had soooooo much stuff to get done before tomorrow!

Anyway, had to weigh in on the tv shows...

Vicki, I am totally into Battlestar - too much so. My hubby didn't want to continue after last year's finale, but I made him watch with me, so he's back to being hooked. we have to DVR it so we can watch it late, late, since it is a bit "gritty". No kids allowed! I also love how the original Apollo (Richard Hatch) is on this one (Tom Zarek) (I don't like his character at all, but I like it when writers/casting directors are clever like that.

I also love Stargate SG1 and Atlantis. It's on its off season right now, so we are into House big time and Dancing with the Stars [DWTS] (go Emmett - football fans, of course!). We actually love So You think you can Dance better than DWTS, but we have to wait for next season for that, too!

Have you guys seen Psyche on USA? very funny, very funny! That's fun to watch with the kids, too.

OK...I've probably admitted too much this evening, but it's good to be back on the MOOS!
