Simple Scrapbooks Digital Magazine... page 1

A couple years ago I started "digi" with my slideshows and submitted one of them to Simple Scrapbooks Mag. They picked it up and did almost a whole page on me! That was before I designed...for digi scrapbooking!
The good news is that they paid me $150!!!!!!!!

Anyways...there is a digital call...just got an email (so they must need stuff!) and the deadline is DECEMBER 11th...

You could earn a little $ and also help the designers ~here~ (pretty please post some with oscraps products!) if you posted some of your existing favorite layouts by tomorrow!

Hmmmm, did y'all know my hubby and I had a medieval wedding? LOL. and I've never scrapped the pics, not even in paper... maybe I ought to try to get a couple of layouts done today...

Oh but we did lol! I'm totally not a girlie girl when it comes to weddings and babies and schtuff. At the time we were planning the wedding, I was working for the industrial holdings company and planning for the World of Concrete tradeshow in Las Vegas. I tried to talk the hubby into just getting married in Vegas while I was already there for the tradeshow (cuz my company was paying for my airfare and hotel - I'm thrifty lol). He was adament that he was not getting married at World of Concrete - GAH!

So, I said fine, we'll do what you want. And he wanted a medeival wedding lol. It was cool though. We had at the State Capital (it was free lol) and we met some people visiting from Romania in the elevator on the way down. We invited them to the wedding and they were amazed. They wanted to know if everyone in the US got married in this style LOL.

Our good friends had a Scottish themed wedding with kilts and all. So, maybe I'll try to do some of those as well. My hubby looked so HAWT! in that kilt. I do love a man in a kilt - that was the night that we, um, conceived... so I always tease our friends that atleast someone got pregnant on their wedding night. Was that too much information lol.

I'll see if I can get some pictures scanned and scrapped today for you!

Wow!! I will see what I can find in my stash.

I am so loving that story Vicki! You should use Genevieves "Gaelic Whispers" kit for the wedding or kilt lo! That would be awesome!!! I made an entire album using that kit when we went to the Rennaissance Fair this past October. It turned out so elegant and rich!

Cant wait to see what you come up with!

I'm so stinking proud of this layout. I actually didn't even make a template first!!! I worked straight from the pics and papers which soooooo unusual for me. I love how it turned out!

I'll try to get one of the kilt pictures done too....

This is a definite into the magazine...if not, they are CRAZY!!!!!

Can ya make that into a template girlfriend! I want to scraplift it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know when they will let us know (how long it takes) if they accept a layout?

You can post to here and the blog...if they accept one, then you take it off for publication.

Takes a while... I had forgotten I even submitted anything!
And they actually call if they are using your layout. Very nice people work there!

Don't get discouraged if they don't accept one...I've submitted many many and they only took my digi slideshow!
