I know - it's about time, huh?!!! Here's the loveseat I JUST HAD to have - but it was an awesome sale at 60% off. The detail on the legs got a bit dark - sorry.

and the back -- I love paisley!! Is she a beautiful piece or what?

and deer in our yard - they were 150' away. This new Canon powershot has a 12x zoom & these were taken from our bedroom window. If you look closely - you can see the one on the right exhaling (it was bitterly cold that day too).

ohhhhhhhhhh you girls are the BEST!! It makes me want to cry & .... Sara & Edhish - you girls said HI! come play more often with us!!!
It reminds me of a little Oscraps story to tell now (Vicki close your eyes)... Last summer in my browsing I came across the old Oscraps site. At the time it was all about freebies & so I downloaded everything & found Vicki & Maggie's work. I was hooked. Then in the first part of August - the new site came up... and people here helped me figure out how to add paint strokes & not have a shadow under them- duh! (I would never put paint on a real photo!). And in August I posted my appreciation for Vicki & her work at DST (I hardly knew her then) - but she posted that the posts on that thread made her cry. (I never meant to ...). And now I understand. You guys are the best.
I've spent time today getting the loveseat settled ... and no it's not out in the yard with the deer (ha ha). And Heidi the 2nd photo had a flash & is more true to color. And nope - hubby hasn't sat on it - he wouldn't in the store either. It's MY LOVE to sit place lol ... don't think there's anything man involved there. And the cats like it too.
So I'm ready to take photos of my living room now & then I can scrap a page or two. It's added color to my room & I'm loving it. And as I told Heidi - I have 3 bags of garbage going to the dumpster. (I threw out the ironing board girls - we've needed a new one for a long time ... so I'll let you know if it works - ok? maybe we'll just not iron?!!) That will reaffirm why I shouldn't be cleaning house. uh huh But I am SO not ready to go to work yet... TWO more heavenly days... my christmas cards are ordered, but I need to order gifts & soon!

That chair is to DIE FOR! Oh it's just gorgeous! I'm so jealous.
Moving to HK has been fun because we've had to completely re-buy everything but we decided this time to invest in nice furniture rather than cheap stuff because HK has such beautiful, antique type of furniture. But it's been a slow process and we're limited on space but hopefully this summer will allow us to get some more unique items.
Anyway... the picture of the deer is too cute too. And gotta love the story about Oscraps and Vicki!
Thanks for sharing!

Yes - buying furniture is a slow process - I agree... it takes me awhile to get what I want.... and I tend to choose what I like, then look at the price. This was almost a fainting couch when I first saw it.
(My dh has warmed to it now - he likes it .... maybe because I threw out 3 bags of garbage?!! He still hasn't sat in it though. We've come a long ways from his response of 'no' when I said I was buying it.)
Photos are taken & I have some pages coming of my 'work space' - ie: loveseat & my chair. :)

Oh Connie, you are sooo funny!
I get warm fuzzies from reading your posts.
The chair is pretty, even if not my style. I am pretty contemporary in my style, and walmart in my budget. *grin* But it reminds me of my mom's new chair. She spent a fortune for this chair that looks like Anna Griffin puked all over it. (sorry but it is true-- hopefully my mom and Anna Griffin are not reading this :) ). She adored it, makes her feel like royalty. My dad of course will not sit in it either, so it is even more special to her to have *her* chair.
So now that this sounds very insulting -- and I don't mean it to be-- please forgive me. Anyway, I a very happy that you have a chair that hopefully makes you feel like royalty too.
The pics of the deer are just incredible, you really could use it for a Christmas card.

Chris - I am not offended at all! And Walmart is my style - we shop there all the time. I am not a Target girl at all.
It doesnt' look comfortable, but it really is. My aunt had furniture that was Victorian - and that stuff just wasn't. (the cats really like this piece).

Aaaaw Connie~ Thanks for the story! Y'all know I'm a sentimental old fool doncha!
I love your loveseat and the deer oooooh wow! I tend toward a very modern style too. We just recently bought new furniture and I chose function over fashion this time - which totally freaked me out, I gotta admit. Maybe I ought to take some pics of it before it gets totally stained and destroyed by the boys lol

It must be the year for new furniture! We picked out a couch, loveseat and chair in September. We really needed it, hadn't had a couch since 2002! Just an old lazy boy that was on it's last leg and a rickety old glider rocker. Got rid of it all and bought new. Now all 3 of us can enjoy watching TV together!!! No one has to sit in the floor!
