How do you keep it all organized page 1

Hi everybody, I'm quite new here and fairly new at digital scrapbooking too. I was hoping you could help me out with a little problem of mine, that keeps getting bigger and bigger. The more paper and kits I download, the harder it is to keep them organized. Right now I have the kits in a folder on my drive which I sub-categorized for the different themes and seasons. That works good for me as long as I use only one kit. But when I'm making a page and it's missing for instance a little yellow paper, I have to look through all the kits to see if I can find what I'm looking for. That's driving me crazy....Ok, I have always been crazy, but now it's even worse ;-) I used to have the same problem with photos, but now I organized them with the app that came with Photoshop elements, which is totally great. However it can only detect .jpg files. Help, what do you all use or how do you keep it organized?

well, i tried to organize them as you did but only in the explorer, folders, etc.
then i tried out digital scraproom but it was to slowly for me.
after trying out the trial version of acdsee and tons of recommendations and threads outside in the forums i decided to start organizing all my stuff with acdsee. it is really the best software to organize your stuff, ive ever seen.
it seems i wont be ready till next new years eve but its worth the time.
you can see all files you have on your hd and organize them however, even png files, gifs etc etc etc.
i started the same now with all my fotos too and i totally love it.

i dont know how photoshop elements works but if you ever want to try out something new, try this one. youll love it.

Do you know what you need to take a sister shopping at IKEA?
a good night sleep
good supportive shoes
patience
some chocolate
and a moving van

Okay, it was fun to spend someone else's money. It was too bad that it fit into her car though because otherwise she would have had to leave it for me.

Oh, that's right. Sometimes we get distracted.... I think Connie summed up where you can find information about the product that I am using to organize, ACDSee Photo Manager.[/list]

Oh Vicki, you don't know what you asking. Connie's going to be calling me on the phone tomorrow and saying she is on her way, pick me up, stop at IKEA for a shopping spree, and deliver it to your doorstep. Hope you have your credit card ready because we don't take checks. Maybe paypal.....

And Connie, I hope that's an old picture. I told you that red basket in the bottom corner HAS to go. It doesn't look good in there. I should have taken your IKEA gift card and bought more basket and containers for you!

I was trying to figure out where Connie started in on IKEA. I see now it's IkeaGoddess that started the thread. I think I need some sleep.....

IkeaGoddess, sorry, hopefully we can get off the IKEA sidetrack and return to your original question...

Hi IkeaGoddess. I have been working with ACDSee too. It is so much easier and faster than Picasa, PSE Organizer and PS Bridge. It is actually kinda fun getting see all of the pieces and parts of kits that you forgot you had.

Connie and Heidi, you are killing me! LOLOLOL!!!!
my friend asked me to go to IKEA with her on Friday. Good thing I can't go, b/c I am lovin' that set up. (just not the red basket heh hehe!!)
