ACDSEE.........yep you convinced this PSE organizer lover to switch. I bought a new EHD which ACDSEE had no problems recognizing so I took the plunge............just thought you would be proud!

Congratulations on your purchase!
I really think we can get your Seagate HD working too with ACDSee. Let me know if you want the directions to try it again. I would suggest doing Hello while to make sure things are going well. A benefit of having 2 EHD's running is they can mirror each other so if one fails you have a backup. In fact, even if we didn't get it working you should be able to mirror with your Seagate HD. Unless you have other plans for your Seagate HD. It takes my computer about 4 minutes a day to mirror/synch my digital kits/layouts that I did yesterday. I am not totally protected because I don't take one of my EHD to another location (so not protected from fire) but I am protected from hard drive crashes.

LOL Anna - I maybe mistyped over there - what I meant was - I haven't reconciled it. There's a big difference... my dh requires a balance to be running. The reconciling means I need to add the interest & a couple of direct deposits that he gets for expenses for his work. So it's not in the red direction. Thanks for worrying about me though! And it's kind of funny - my sis in law just asked if I had signed up for online banking.. and I said - oh they never contacted me..... roflol - well I suppose if I opened my bank statements for the past 3 months - I'd find my notification & instr's. DUH!!
Anyway- I'll get on it today. I've given up on making things agree - I just use the bank's balance. I'm a math major - NOT an accountant. (We use our credit card to build frequent flier miles - so only have about 15 checks per month to deal with ... so it's cake).
And WOOT! on your purchase of Photo Manager! You'll love it. I was just sitting here tagging elements. I'm excited to be almost ready to start lumping all of my TAGGED kits together & then making use of my 2 EHD's that Heidi helped me get set up to backup & synch. It's exciting!

I just downloaded Photo Manager this morning and am OBSESSING over exactly how to organize everything. I've read all the threads here and at digishop and am trying to reconcile myself to the fact you just have to jump in and see what works for you.
Anna -- good luck with getting your stuff moved to the new system. Using Heidi V's tutorial I've already made a ton of progress.
