Help with funtion key cntrl+g page 1

Hi Everyone:
I need help I was using a template tonight an dI did the cntrl+g instead of clipping the paper to the template it created a group instead.
How do I get the cntrl + G back?
PS I'm using pscs2

clipping mask is with ctrl ALT g. :) (i've made the same mistake!)
