Hello from The Netherlands page 1

I've been hanging around here for awhile but now I wanna say hello from the middle of the Netherlands (Europe). Perhaps it sounds a little stupid, Europe, but I had notice that some people think that I'm living in the Netherlands in the USA :wink:.

I'm Mar married to Arne, mom of Iris and grandmom of Kay. However I did over many years a lot of paperscrapping I just started in August with Digiscrapping. I had looked in the past, two years ago, for digiscrapping but I didn't like it at all. But time is changed and now I'm addicted to digi-scrapping.

I like to go a little extreme, and have tons of heritage photo's and babyphoto's. I work as a freelance designer and journalist.

I want to thank the designers for the great Christmas-hunt and wonderful kit, I love it and for the beautiful 'Thank you' custumergift. You all really suprised me today.

It's funny, I went to visit some friends in Germany and we flew into the Netherlands. The customs man asked me how long I intended to stay in the Netherlands and I was totally floored - my thought was, um, I'm in the Netherlands?!?! I'm supposed to be in Germany!!!

Ah, I was tired and flustered lol. He had just been trying to get my 3 years old at the time, son, Alyx to answer to his given name on his passport - a name he didn't know (he goes by his middle name - Alyx, not his proper first name - William). The whole time he's calling, "William" and Alyx is totally oblivious anyone is trying to get his attention. I finally said, "he answers to his middle name listed there". The customs man said it and Alyx looked up - Phew! I guess they do that to make sure you are really travelling under proper circumstances and not travelling with kids that don't belong to you lol!

Welcome Mar, since I am part of Europe, when I see the Netherlands I always think Europe ;)

There's a Netherlands in the US? Had no idea. LOL Welcome! We spent a bit of time in the Netherlands. Beautiful country!
