Downloading & Uploading

First you need to save the blinkie. Right click - save as and be sure to put it somewhere you can remember (like your desktop) Then you need to upload your blinkie to a photo hosting site (like photobucket.com).

Adding to Your Signature

Click the "UserCP" link at the top of the window. Click the "Edit signature" add this code into the box (be sure to take out spaces) ::

[ img ] your blinkie url here [ /img ]

For example:
[ img ] http : // www dot photobucket dot com / whereveritis / blinkie.gif [ /img ]

How to make your blinkie a "link"

Once you get the hang of this it all starts to make sense. You need to "wrap" the link around the image. To do this you add this code

[ url = your site here ] [ img ] your blinkie url here [ /img ] [ /url ]

for example

[ url = http : // www dot oscraps dot com ] [ img ] http: // www dot photobucket dot com / whereveritis / blinkie.gif [ /img ] [ /url ]

Once you are done, be sure to click the "Save Signature" link!

Make sure you take out the spaces and of course change the links to where your image is located and of course link the site you are wanting to link.

I hope this was a bit clearer than mud. Enjoy the blinkies!

I have a blinkie from the norwegian forum I`m a member of, but I don`t seem to get it right..It doesn`t show in my signature...

I have troubles uploading a blinkie.
I copied the oscraps addict blinkie but when I upload it, it says file is to large.
I also made my own blinkie, which is also to large (150x50 38kb).

I copied several blinkies from other users to make my own, that are even bigger but do work.

Can anybody help?

Good Morning Diane,
I awoke at 2 AM with my brain trying to figure out your dilemma.
I wondered first, if when you made your blinkie, if you had optimized it or not. No need to since it is such a small item. The resolution does not need to be big. I noticed that the blinkies that I made were 9 kb and 14 kb. Also, the other 2 blinkies that I have are 11 kb and 16 kb. SO I am guessing here, but that might be the difference.
Also, I thought about this, and please forgive me if you have, did you wrap the url/img language correctly. Vicki has it on a post at the beginning of this thread, BUT, you have to do it without the spaces. Again, please forgive me if you have already done all of this. I am hoping to be helpful.
