Hi Everyone,
I'll open the forum today.
My dd has been up all night - poor girl. So that changes my plans a bit (I was going to go to a resort & stay over with Heidi's family & my parents). But if child is sick - she needs her mom...
She absolutely loved her snowboard - and yesterday did two runs down our hill. I love the continuous shooting feature of my camera - and do you know that if I put my photos on slideshow in ACDSee - I have a movie of her going down the hill? lolol It's fun. And then last night her boyfriend came over & they snowboarded in the dark.
So I hope everyone is having a happy holiday time. I know some are going back to work. Happy scrapping everyone!

What a bummer aboyt DD. Hope she feels better real soon. And Alyx too. It is the pits when your kids are sick on Christmas. One year Scott had pneumonia, a sinus inf. and a double ear inf. But yup, he too was a trooper. But it really does break a mom's heart, right?
Is everyone going to get some rest and relaxation time? Or do your houses look like Walmart exploded inside? That is what my house looks like ATM, but you kniw what? I don't care! LOL
I had a really wonderful Xmas. DH had a few really good days in a row and it was such a joy to me. My kids were amazing. Xmas Eve was just ..... wonderful- with my friends and family and nieces and nephews.....It was a mushy, lovey, sentimental holiday for us, and it felt so heart fillingly good to be with everyone.
I hope you all were filled with that spirit too. I guess since my family has had a very difficult few years, Ijust want to bottle the feelings so I can have this forever. When you are so unhappy and lost, the peace and joy becomes even more precious to you then.

I'll be back later after I get to play with my new camera and get all of the pics I took from the old one.

One christmas celebation done and off to another. I now have the project of packing everyone and everything up and traveling again.
Although I see plans have changed again since Connie's dd is sick. Hopefully she is feeling better and you can meet us tomorrow. Then again my dh is feeling miserable and I have been awake because of him since 5:00 am and that's after going to bed after 1:30 am. Tis the season of giving and sharing of viruses.
Vicki, glad to hear Alyx is feeling better. Hope it continues that way.

I got a new job as a support Analyst it's a big pay cut but at least I have insurance :) Thanks for all the prayers
I start on Monday and my last day in this dept is Friday at 12.pm....

Chris - I'm so glad that you had a happy holiday. Technically the holiday season isn't over until New Years, right? So you go ahead and keep being mushy for another week, lol.
Vicki - glad Alyx is feeling better. We might be going to see Eragon today. I'll probably come home bugging you about our dragon kit, lol.
Maggie- Congrats on the job! Insurance benefits are usually worth the pay cut. I'm glad you'll be taken care of now.
For us, we had a good holiday. I think we all got a little bit spoiled, lol. My son did awesome in his new big boy bed last night. We still have some more arranging to do in his new room, but it is looking great. Everything is miniature so that he can get to all of his toys and clothes, and also put them away. It is so cute!
And I am sitting in my brand new leather office chair. It is so comfy and wonderful! Our old one had one of the arms broken off and hanging down the side, and the stuffing was hanging out of the cushion. So it was totally time for a replacement.

Hi All!
First time posting in this thread.
I still have wrapped presents under my tree.
DGS is sick with double ear infection, sinus infection, and eye infections.
He's only 2 1/2. All he wants to do is sleep. He is so miserable. His eyes all all swollen shut, and tearing all the time. DD and SIL haven't gotten any sleep for days. So Christmas yesterday was called off for them.
But our Christmas at home here with DH and DS was pleasent. No big dinner. That was going to be at DD's. We had snacks for Christmas dinner. Different, I must say! LOL
Hope everyone had a wonderful Day and lots of digi giftys under the tree!
Me? I got monopoly money I can trade in for a laptop later in Jan.

Good morning everyone. Christmas was good for us, we went to my parents house and had a nice quiet time. I spent the morning organizing the garage since it's actually pretty warm today, and hopefully I can spend the rest of the day working on my desk area. I think it's time for another trip to home depot :D I really love building stuff and fixing stuff, so I've decided that being a homeowner is really fun, well, except we have to pay for all of the little repairs LOL.

Erin, I'm a big projects girl too! love building and decorating but can't usually afford it, so I always ask for gift cards to home depot and lowes for all gift giving occassions lol

merry day after Christmas, all! Anyone else living with a "TOO MUCH SUGAR hangover" like me??? I can't get away from chocolate in this house!! (Who really wants to??)
Our house kind of looks like Best Buy threw up in the living room. This was our "Game Boy" Christmas. Now no one really has to share (depending on whose is charged, who has what game...etc) because every child owns their own game boy! (What did we parents do without game boys?? Oh yeah...we read books with our kids, played board games, and on and on...) Anyway, we had a lovely time with my brother, his wife and my mom. So fun! My brother gave our family an NFL Trivia game. Perfect for our family!!!! We had a great time playing it (and very funny, the girls won the game!)
I signed up for hello if anyone wants to add me...I'm sallykeller814 (instead of cellomom...lost my brain, I guess).

I am sorry to hear of the Christmas Sickies, but my DD is also joining the club :( She has a horrible cold, she became unwell on Saturday and I prayed she would get better but alas, not. She survived yesterday, in fact both kids had a great time, and I am blessed to be enjoying Santa time now since Sarah is 3 it was the first christmas she understood Santa, so even though I was up countless times through the night with her asking if Santa had been, it was also loads of fun ;)
Today, since she was ill, DH took DS out for a walk, so myself and Sarah lounged on the couch to watch 2 Barbie DVD's.
Now its Christmas sales time, I am on the look out for a new camera :D
