Painful to type Dec. 3....wasn't it just June?

You ladies are all so busy- I was worn out after hearing all of your busy busy Saturdays.
Anyone going to be able ro rest a relax today?

Not me- wish me good selling vibes. I am selling at a Holiday Craft fair, so hopefully I will make lots of $$$$. I also have a bunch of orders for gift baskets coming up- 4 for my neighbor, one for my dad, one for a friend, and my MIL goes shopping inmy closet for any leftovers. LOL

Last night was my family's annual christmas cartoons with Uncle Chuck night. Ever since my kids were small, my brother would come up, order pizza and we would watch Charlie Brown, the Grinch and maybe one other. 10 years later, this is still a good tradition, even better now that his fiancee joins us. My bro had never seen A CHristmas Story - so we inducted him into the Cult of You'll Shoot your Eye Out.
Buhahahaah!! I adore that movie!

Anyway, hope you all have a wonderful day. I'll be back tonight to check in on you- to make sure you all had some time to put your feet up and relax. Ha ha!!!

Gooood Sunday Moooorning ladies!! :)

Dec 3rd ... wow - before we know it Christmas is going to be upon us. Today is our local Santa Claus Parade .... and I'm soooo excited. I think I actually get more excited about it than the kids do. ;) The 2 big girls have dance this morning from 10-12 and then the parade starts at 2.

Yet again another day in and out and no where near close enough to the computer and Carla's beautiful designs (http://www.oscraps.com/store/index.php?manufacturers_id=14&zenid=879093cdbf38dc473251baf9613a1bdb&main_page=index)so I could get some work done with her kits. :( If you haven't taken a look lately ... you really should because she has some amazing kits. I'm super excited to be working with this talented group of designers.

Well breakfast is almost ready so I want to do a gallery run and then I'm off for a bit. :)

Have a great CHEERY-O day ladies and I will be back with pictures and new layouts later!! LOL Don't forget to stop by the gallery and give the layouts some loving!! :)

Happy Sunday Ladies!

I can't believe it's the 3rd already either! Busy, busy, busy. I'm getting a few things accomplished here and there, I'm buried in cd's this am as I'm doing all my back ups. (time consuming but worthwhile right? lol)

Chris that sounds like a wonderful tradition. We're big fans of A Christmas Story, we watch it more than a couple times a year. Good times ;)

Love the new additions to the store.

I'm going to try to knock a few more things off the list. I want to get some scrapping in! Just wanted to make an appearance so ya'll didn't forget about me 8)

Good morning ladies --
Wishing you good selling vibes Chris! I hope it goes well for you today!

Krista - you're an awesome poster! Are you still using photobucket? I will work on that. And Khristy Schmidt's new kit is awesome - didn't I tell ya'll so? She's wonderful!!! (and a great designer too!)

And Ronee's kit is awesome! I made a layout with Ronee's In Dreams kit & will edit here with a link. I have some things to do today. I used a template in ACDSee's Photo Editor!

And I'm going to just relax & enjoy my day (I'll relax for both Krista & Chris too!)

So girls - I need to tell you about my mega shopping trip yesterday. I'm going to have to clean house for a month of Sundays before I'm out of the doghouse. (I shoveled snow last night...even with my cough)

DH decided to forego deer hunting & he asked if I wanted a camera for Christmas. So when child went to work - we headed out... We stopped at a store to buy a hat & shells - and I love this store's furniture displays because they do little rooms. Well dh joined me & we were browsing & OMG - I saw the loveseat that I had fallen in love with a year ago on sale - at 60% off!! (about said loveseat - it had a horrible price - but it is from the same company that made my bedroom set -- all hardwoods & no particle board. My bedroom set has rounded drawer fronts & is highly embellished (it's reproductions of vintage furniture). So the price didn't suprise me - but it was unreasonable). Now about the loveseat - it is TOO cute! it's a slipper shape - it curves in the center, and it just invites you to grab a book (or a laptop) & cuddle up in it. There's just enough room to stretch your feet out (my dh refused to sit on it with me). AND it has deeply upholstered cushions in the most yummy 6" paisley in sage & soft orange and it has striped pillows! On the back in the center there is wicker & the legs are victorian looking. My dh was NOT interested so we looked at dining room tables because ours is 20 yrs old & has survived child & really isn't so stable anymore.

So we got some prices & left. We went to Ritz & I FINALLY decided on my camera (poor man - that was the 3rd trip). I chose a Canon PowerShot S31S 6 mp. It does continuous frames - which I'm excited about! And it appears to have a lot of features. I left the dslr's alone because I don't think I'm up to the learning curve (for the same reason I'm not using adobe photoshop) and more importantly - the size - I will be travelling & I think they're kind of big. I had been liking the Nikon D80 &... that was larger than the Rebel. And I decided to get a photo printer because my inkjet is 6 yrs old & horrid quality! So Ritz has a really sweet deal on an Epson photo printer for $39 after rebates!! that prints up to 8.5 x 11 AND on printable cd's & dvd's - which will make my dd happy. So now I can do the little purse board book for my niece! And - they gave me an HP photo printer 4 x 6 for free with the camera... but I have to figure out if we're gifting that or - I may use it as a prize here at Oscraps - because enough already! I am so behind on hardware right now.. OY!... I have a 250 gig ehd here that I need to format. I'm thinking if I wait long enough, Heidi will do it for me. But I have some serious rebate forms to fill out today!

Ok - so back to the furniture store because we needed the dining room table (& I was afraid that someone would buy MY loveseat). So we went back & got the salesman writing up the table (the table nests 4 leaves in there & folds out to 109" - it's a dream! no more carrying leaves up & down the stairs). Then I said - add the loveseat & my DH said 'NO!' oh mann - we had a Yes, No conflict in public. The salesman got embarassed & said you two work it out. But he got to the point of needing to finish the slip - and I said yes & dh said no. (Now as of Dec. 1, I am working two jobs with a decent income - and dh is having cosmetic surgery in 3 weeks that costs 12 times that loveseat.... so - I held firm. I have always supported whatever he has bought. Last week he bought a new gun...). Anyway - I rarely buy on impulse - but I've had the experience where I've hesitated & then it was gone. So it was a quiet hour's drive home. I shovelled the snow drifts when I got home & today will be cleaning house.. sigh. But I was looking in the bedroom & that's where it's going. DH spends a lot of time on the phone in there & may use it. I can't find a pic online - but I'll post when it comes. It's too sweet! I don't regret my purchase.

So - moral of the story is - don't take your dh furniture shopping... it's better to surprise him. :) and make receipts disappear. And - I can't resist a good sale!

Maggie - It's being delivered a week from Wednesday....
And I've folded clothes, helped clean house this morning, dusted! and cleaned in our bathroom - even the faucet that's bugged me for a long time... (wonder how long I will be in charge of housekeeping... hmmm)

Ok - back to my stuff - I'm ordering Christmas gifts & ummm holiday cards now... I understand Shutterfly is backlogged. And I won't be helping - between dd & my mom I'll be ordering 200 prints too.

OH! and I was just on Amazon reading about my new camera - and looking at photos people have taken with it. It rawks! There's a Super Macro that will be fabulous for my flowers next summer, a Night mode that appears to do great with fireworks & fires, and people are very happy with the 12x zoom. And what is intriguing is that they've added a 1.7x converter (a $99 olympus lens) and people have taken photos of the moon! oh my goodness!! So I need to print the features list on Amazon & then start exploring.

Happy Sunday, OOOOOpeople!!

We just got home from a very cool church service where we all decorated the church together after the service. So festive. I love Christmas!!!

Let me tell you how excited I am today after last night's company Christmas party. My dh's company has door prizes every year and we won one to Linen's and Things. Then they had a white elephant gift exchange (also very funny...the guy who stole the "family guy" slippers was very excited!) where we got starbucks mugs and coffee and candy (good gift for us who are addicted to coffee!!!)
THEN they had the grand prize...
a night at in a luxury suite of an Omni hotel, complimentary breakfast, shuttle to the shopping area close by (ritzy galleria), and dinner gift card...
WE WON!!!! I was so excited, I jumped up and down in front of 60 people I didn't really know!!! Then the lady in charge said, "If you don't know Sally and Don, they have 4 children that Sally homeschools, so they really wanted this!!!"
They really cool part is our 15th anniversary is on the 21st of this month, and I think we could actually pull off leaving the kids and celebrate it on the company!! Woooeeee!!!

Enough excitement, time to cool down and put our feet up!!

Connie, I can't wait to see your loveseat! (and Maggie, I'm with you on the hunting thing. Luckily, my hubby isn't really into it!)

Danielle, scrap a bit for me today...we're decorating (Finally!!!) and I finally have to do dishes, too...yick!!

Maggie, love the colors on that kit!!

Keely, keep encouraging me so I do back up everything before I lose everything!!!

Krista, thanks for the advertisements and reminders to check the store!! I'm so impressed with everything the O has to offer!! WTG, O! Hope your parade was a blast. It sounds wonderful!!

Chris, hope your craft show was lucrative! I've done that before, and it's definitely alotta work!! I'm inspired by your entrepeneurial-ness!! you go, girl!!

Happy 22 days til Christmas...

Good afternoon gals!

It is still cold here. And yes, 50 degrees in Tx is COLD!!!!! I feel like i am hibernating. tehe.

To everyone...you gals just rock with your projects and happenings. I feel so boring compared to you guys.

That kit is gorgeous Maggie!

Connie, LOVE that story!!! I am having to explain DAILY why I want to upgrade to a 5mp camera instead of my 3mp. He acts like I am upgrading to a DSLR!!!! My goodness. It is time for an upgrade!!!
Can't wait to see pics of that sofa!!

Sally, Congrats on winning that retreat!! You deserve it, and I am sure you will enjoy it!! :D

Danielle, there ISNT such a thing as too much in my opinion either. Enjoy your time to yourself!

Have a good Sunday evening!

I just woke up from a nap... (I think I'm getting old - it felt good!)

Earlier I was going to put my camera together (and I had specifically asked the salesperson for a new one yesterday) - and when I went to put the batteries in - there were some in the camera. And the lens cap is missing... sigh. So I called & they have another that 'meets my specifications' as the clerk says. Am I too picky? I just don't want a returned camera from the get go - not for full price.

My dh had decided to drive over & get the furniture tomorrow - so he will also exchange my camera too. So we don't have to wait a week & half, but we'll be assembling a table.

Ok I'm going to scrap some. Dh is going out to hunt. (I don't mind it - as long as I don't have to go with, or dress the game). Well I just put in 'Fun with Dick & Jane' let's see how long this lasts!

It must be contagious, when sister shops so do I. I don't think I spent as much as dear sister though.

I have been spending way too long getting my new laptop set up. I am so close now though that I can take a break and do some scrapbooking. I am so excited. With my dual displays, I have 30 inches wide of screen space. yeah!

As for my shopping spree. I went and got one of those tailless mouse that connects via bluetooth to my laptop. I turned it on and it worked! I got a new keyboard because I didn't have a USB keyboard in the house. It's quiet so now no one can tell that I am typing while I am talking to them. And powerstrips to plug my electronics into. It's bad when you max out the already 2 existing powerstrips that are plugged into the walls.

As for the rest of the shopping spree, it was mostly christmas presents for my kids. I saw the sales ad's and hit the stores to pick them up with the best deal. Need to save money so I can buy my umm new mouse. :)

Back to playing with my new toys. I am glad that I am grownup so I don't have to wait till Christmas to open my toys. :D

Hey Heidi - You finally surfaced! I let you sleep in today. Sounds you had a great time shopping too! Must've been the new snow. Did you get any? And you took my advice on the bluetooth mouse! a bobbed mouse... hmmm Well I took your advice on the camera & loved these photos on Amazon from people's sample photos... check them out here if you want to -- most people put notations under them...
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-images/B000EMWBV0/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_0/102-0889162-5860946?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&index=0#gallery

Check out the first 3 pages or so.. they show the range... and the camera was a third the price of the nikon d80.

Congrats on your winning Sally!! woot woot! Sounds so fun for your anniv.

Here's my page that I did totally in acdsee Photo Editor using a psd template & used the vignette feature:
